Continuity mistake: The flatbed truck that Kyle and Swin got in at the onset of their trip is very different when they parked and went to buy rope (but got tape). The truck style is different, the cargo and its cover have changed (tarp is smaller, a different color, and is wrapped across instead of front to back), and the orange cone/cones change locations. Continuity mistake: Running away from the guard after the burglary, Joey and Matt went down a fairly steep hill in the woods. After passing the hole, they walked up a small embankment to go toward home. The next morning, Joey is riding his bike down a steep hill (the one that was before the hole?) - so steep he has to get off his bike and push it. Halfway down, the camera shifts and Joey is suddenly on TOP of a small embankment, which appears to be the one he and Matt walked up the day before on their way home.
Continuity mistake: In the locker room, an adjacent locker is closed then open with a yellow shirt hanging inside. Also, Ali takes a uniform jacket out of the locker Borz said she could use and holds it in front of her while they were talking. When they're almost done, Ali is turned around toward the locker and starts to remove a uniform jacket from her locker (as though this is the first time she was seeing it). (00:10:52 - 00:11:35)
Continuity mistake: When Chul-min is being cornered by the other soldiers at the compound, a man walks up to him with a knife to cut his shirt off. In one shot, the knife is being pointed at a diagonal, but slightly upward position. In the next shot, he is holding the knife in an entirely vertical position. (00:50:02)
Continuity mistake: The sizes, locations, and smoothness of the pieces of glass remaining in the wall mirror after Aidan smashes it with a bat change. Initially, there were a few large and several smaller jagged-edged pieces around the top and upper-half of the right side. Later, there were four relatively large smooth-edged pieces spaced around the upper half of the mirror - one in each upper corner and one on each side at the middle. (00:15:48 - 00:19:33)
Continuity mistake: When the Butcher tackles Millie on the field, in the first shot he's on top of her, and she's flat on the ground. However, when it cuts to the side angle, the Butcher is already getting up and Millie has instantly turned onto her left side.
Continuity mistake: While on-stage addressing the crowd at the Apple Festival, Vivian's long hair is in various positions. On her left side, a long section is in front of her initially, then in back. On her right side, her hair is either distinctly split (some in front, some in back) or flows around her shoulder/side. (00:09:43)
Continuity mistake: The fragments from the truck's taillights that Cassie smashed with a tire iron were obviously "neatly rearranged" (and looked resized to be more uniform) before showing them after the man drove away. Cassie hit the outer sides of the rear taillights and fragments of various sizes scattered, so all would not settle close together along the bumper. One large fragment from the passenger side flew past Cassie behind the truck and landed about three or four feet away but was not there afterwards.
Continuity mistake: The grilled cheese sandwich was charred while it was still cooking, but not when Jason's dad served it to him. (00:02:00)
Continuity mistake: The position of the dead (imposter) security guard's head over the barbell changes. When Gus says, "Jesus, he's dead", the security guard's neck is over the barbell rail, the top of his head is touching the floor, and his face is toward the front of the screen. When the camera goes to the opposite side of the dead guard, his head and neck are raised (and apparently no longer being supported by the barbell - or anything else). (00:28:28)
Continuity mistake: When the Homeland Security guy is sitting in the lobby in Vancouver, Canada, a girl and another man are walking behind him and across the lobby in the wide shot. But when it zooms in on him, the same people and more are walking behind him again as if they never were crossing the lobby. (00:28:45)
Continuity mistake: A vast majority of the movie occurs over the course of a single day, so it would be expected that Becky's hair stayed about the same. However, there were frequent fluctuations in Becky's hair's length, how her bangs were arranged, and color (whether the blue streaks could be seen at all or how much at a given time, and if she had dark roots on the top of her head).
Continuity mistake: When Nick leaves to deliver presents he walks out the door and you hear the door close. When his wife goes after him with the flask you see him opening the very same door he's just walked out. (00:24:50)
Continuity mistake: At the "Wave Hair Salon", Ms. Gordon has a curler/roller at the top of her forehead. In some shots, it is straight, but in other shots it is angled. Continuity mistake: The same couple are sitting behind Alex and Greville when they attended Cinderella and Swan Lake ballet at two different times.
Continuity mistake: Kelly was wearing a white thermal top over a white sleeveless undershirt. After he was thrown into the garbage can, his white thermal top was wet against his back, so he was no longer wearing the undershirt. (00:03:54 - 00:05:43)
Continuity mistake: James lit the cigarette he gave Amanda, and she was shown taking one puff. Amanda tells part of the Empty Man story and the ashes on the tip of her cigarette are the same when she takes a second puff. Continuity mistake: When Driscoll is walking out to his car with his son, you see the driver's side window is rolled all the way up. When he sees Spenser and goes to talk to him, the window is now rolled down, even though he didn't do anything. (01:22:00)
Continuity mistake: After PJ lets Officers John and Julia inside, there are a few continuity errors with the box on the table and the lamp's cord. Initially, the white evidence box is flush with the counter and the front side (with a hand slot) is facing the lower right corner of the screen. Later, the box is closer to the edge and the front side has been turned about 45°. The lamp's cord is sometimes flat on the table but other times there are two upward loops. Continuity mistake: Brahms was quite clean for having been buried under dirt and leaves. No dirt fell off Brahms' body when Jude pulled him out of his "grave" and there did not appear to be dirt in his hair. When Sean (Jude's father) held up Brahms, the doll looked relatively clean - or cleaner compared to when Liza (Jude's mother) started to wash him. (00:14:10 - 00:15:45)
