Other mistake: At the end of the movie Lorraine has to remind Elise that she helped her once, implying they haven't seen, or spoken since. When Elise first meets Josh in the 1st insidious she tells Josh that her and Lorraine have been friends for a long time, implying they talk or see each other regularly.
Suggested correction: That's debatable as the word "friend" does have to do with semantics. I have friends I have not spoken to in a long time, or speak with rarely, but still consider them friends due to our history. Others would say that's not a friend as that's not what they think of when they hear the word "friend." So it does depend on the individual person. It's also quite possible this is what they told Josh as the cover story for why she was contacted since they initially didn't want him to remember his past.
Deliberate mistake: Earl attended the "2005 National Daylily Convention." The wording is not accurate, perhaps for purposes of brevity. There is no "National Daylily Society", but there is an "American Daylily Society." Likewise, there is no "National Daylily Convention", but there is a "National Convention for the Daylily Society." Deliberate mistake: An LAPD cop discharges his firearm a full size Glock which has a minimum magazine capacity of 13+1 for the Glock 21. The Glock 21 is approved LAPD issue along with other variants. He fires maybe three shots and the slide locks back signalling that it's dry. A second later the same cop is walking with the same empty Glock aimed towards the suspect which was shot at. It's visible that the slide is being held back by the slide stop since the magazine went dry. (01:29:58)
Factual error: The movie is set in Van Diemen's Land (now Tasmania) in 1825. Throughout the movie, in scenes where Clare talks to the aboriginal tracker, Billy, subtitles state that they are speaking in Palawa Kani. Palawa kani was developed in the 1990s by the language program of the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre, more than 165 years after the movie.
Factual error: Spoiler! The cultists burned Mandy alive by wrapping a sleeping bag around her, putting gas on her and hanging her from a metal swing set and setting her on fire. After Red frees himself later and craws up to her remains, it's shown that she is barely a pile of ash with her skull still somewhat in shape when he picks it up. It then crumbles into just ash showing she had been fully burnt to the very center. This would not have been the case with how they burned her. Their was nowhere near enough heat or kindling to keep her body burning long enough to turn completely to ash with no remains like that. She would have died, yes, but would have mostly stayed intact as a single body burnt very bad. Bones, features, charred organs would still have been left behind. (01:04:00)
Other mistake: During the murder in the stairwell, an old woman opens her apartment door outward, and Varg kicks it shut. Apartment doors always open inward, as did Euronymous' apartment in the same building.
Suggested correction: Euronymous' apartment door opens outward into the hallway, at least in the final scene it does when he's trying to get away from Varg.
Continuity mistake: During the robbery at the beginning of the movie, Lev points a gun at the clerk's forehead. Depending on the shot, the gun is touching his forehead directly or not, and Lev raises the thumb on the hammer twice in consecutive shots. (00:01:40)
Continuity mistake: When Sophia is talking with Rachel after she brings the proteins, Sophia's fingers on her cheek swap between extended or bent between shots.
Continuity mistake: When Nick Cage and the woman get to her place and start to make out, he takes her bra off, leaving her bare chested as he fondles her. It cuts to a different angle as they are kissing and suddenly her bra is back on again, only to be gone in the following shot.
Visible crew/equipment: Once Ray uses the bolt cutters to open the door to the swimming pool service room, he walks in down a hallway illuminated from behind by the light coming in. As he is walking the camera follows him and you can see faintly the shadow of the cameraman on the wall as they move. (00:14:20)
Continuity mistake: Susan meets backstage Dr. Mitch. He states the obvious saying that she looks alike her twin sister, just more confident, and she cuts him off saying that she knows. Factual error: An ambulance is shown. This movie is supposed to take place in a latin country. But the ambulance says "Ambulance" in English, and worse, it also says "Riverside County." Continuity mistake: Tom and Hallie are talking in his kitchen about Slender Man after she freaked out during them trying to have sex. He backs up against the island and his left arm goes up behind his back resting on the top of it as he's blurred in the background. Continuity mistake: When Lucas exits the bar, the Toyota truck appears to be parked close to the porch, but there's a lot more space between them during and after the fight. (00:17:39 - 00:18:46)
Continuity mistake: Constance is hugging Mary. In the close up shot, Constance is wearing a round sky blue earring. In the long shot, the earring is not seen even though her ear is fully facing the camera. (00:27:45)
Continuity mistake: In the shots of Thompson space walking along the outside of their pod and the damaged pod, he's moving slowly in the wide shots. But in the close ups it shows him moving twice and even triple his speed of stepping.
Factual error: The opening scene shows Cassie and Bryan booking their holiday on a laptop. The dates that they book the holiday home are between May 5th 2018 and May 12th 2018, which means the movie is set in 2018. But later in the movie, when Cassie finds the video of Bryan with the two women on his phone, the date is listed as "Sunday, May 7", and May 7th 2018 was a Monday, not a Sunday. (00:01:05 - 01:10:55)
Continuity mistake: When young Tiffany is eating ice cream at a restaurant, the amount of ice cream left in the clear glass bowl increases after she eats more. Continuity mistake: When Stallone kills the bad guys with skull masks in the corridor of the bar, his motions pointing the pistol don't match the positions of the lemming-like goons he hits. For instance he has the gun all the way to his right for the first one he kills, but the guy is shown with a hole opening in his forehead while he's in the middle of the corridor. (00:29:00)
