Other mistake: Why did Merrimen have to show Donnie how to use a M4? Earlier in the movie it was stated that Donnie was in the Marines for a short time.
Other mistake: When Helena Bonham Carter removes the necklace from its case, the clasp of the necklace is obviously closed (or at least it should be-otherwise it would slip inside the case itself from the raised mount that it is kept on in the case when the case is being carried) ; she is carrying the top of the necklace (where the clasp is) in her left hand while her right hand carries the bottom of the necklace. Had the clasp been open in the case, her arm and hand motion when she picks it up with her fingers would not have been so smooth. She goes over to Anne Hathaway with the clasp obviously opened (because we see her put the necklace around Hathaway's neck rather than over Hathaway's head) and then she closes it. When she tries to open it a few minutes later the security guard informs her that she cannot open it; that it can only be opened with a special security magnet - which he then proceeds to use to unlock the clasp. In other words, the necklace would have needed to be opened by the security guard to begin with before Helen Bonham Carter could put it around Anne Hathaway's neck. (01:01:05)
Other mistake: When Elastigirl is chasing the high-speed train, as she is in the middle of making her second final jump to reach the train, if one were to look closely, the train actually drives right past her before she lands. (00:31:40)
Other mistake: Davis tells Kate to go and she jumps out of the falling plane, her chute opening. Davis then takes a minute to free Harvey from the plane as it's still falling before they both get out. Once they are free falling he takes a few seconds before he pulls their chutes as well. However as they are coming down close to the plane crash site, Kate is near level with them in altitude as they are all coming down together. With how high she was when she jumped out compared to the time it took for Davis and Harvey to get out of the plane and open their chutes, she would have been several minutes behind them in the sky, not right next to them. (00:47:45 - 00:49:05)
Suggested correction: She jumped first and would have already descended in altitude. Then the guys jump and freefalled and pulled their chutes so it is plausible they caught up to her altitude when their chutes opened.
Other mistake: When he arrives at the club he texts "I'm here" and receives the reply "bathroom" but the texts are on the wrong side of the screen. It looks as if he replied "bathroom". (01:20:10)
Other mistake: The hurricane winds blows cars around, but the actors can walk against the wind and climb cellphone towers. Plus the hurricane "eye" hits the town, but trucks ride out on a road with dry leaves and dust.
Other mistake: When Helen turns right to "head to the stacks" everyone in the back of the van falls to the right. Centrifugal force would push them to the left. (01:56:06)
Other mistake: A police helicopter nearly crashes and has to veer away because of the superheated air around the building when only a few floors are on fire, but Will Sawyer and everyone else can function normally when half the building is ablaze. In fact, everyone barely breaks a sweat despite being surrounded by flames.
Other mistake: When Benji takes off the Wolf Blitzer mask, he continues to talk with the anchorman's voice until he takes off the voice altering tape too, but when Walker realises that he is not talking to Solomon Lane and proceeds to rip off the mask, Benji talks with his own voice without taking off the tape.
Other mistake: Throughout the movie, Hank's lab in its shrunken form is constantly jostled and tossed around, but when it's restored to full size in a new location, nothing is out of place and everything still works perfectly.
Suggested correction: Given that he has prepared the lab to be shrunken and mobilized at a moment's notice, he probably thought of this ahead of time and secured everything important in place.
Perhaps he could secure some things, but there's never so much as a computer monitor out of place.
It's a fair point. I agree that some things should definitely be out of place, but given the importance of what he is working on, he would take measures to ensure that the important things wouldn't become damaged and inoperative when the lab is being moved around. We see on at least one occasion that he has ants roaming the lab, so it's possible he trained them to ensure that the Quantum Gate and any device essential to its operation are protected at all times.
In a world in which a man becomes the size of an ant, I guess any correction could be invalidated. I this case, there are any number of reasons why everything, down to paper and pens, never moves. Maybe the ants pick them all up. Maybe gravity works differently when shrunk. This means that basically any movie that uses magic or magic type technology would never have a valid mistake.
Other mistake: Towards the end, Chewbacca and Beckett have walked some distance from the landed yacht. They come up a small slope and are faced with Han, waiting for them. But an aerial shot shows that slope is very short and just runs down to a cliff. There's no way they could have got to the base of the slope to walk up it in the first place.
Other mistake: The movie takes place in Cincinnati Ohio. Subtitles state the robbery is in July. At the end of the movie the subtitle states "6 months later" which would be in January, but the scene shows short sleeves, no coats, and sunshine. There is no sunny, short sleeve weather in Cincinnati in January.
Other mistake: At the beginning, while Wade is lying on the barrels, he throws the cigar and causes the explosion. The problem is that the cigar gets in one barrel but another one explodes instead.
Other mistake: When Tom picks up Atlanna when she washes up, she's unconscious, but she's able to hold on to her trident.
Suggested correction: It is emphasized that she is still holding it even when unconscious.
Other mistake: As York is entering Dave's apartment, and Dave is guiding Miles to the secure room, the entry door of the apartment appears to have only a chain lock and presumably a door knob lock. Standard stuff for apartments, and Dave surely is not relying on this for security or awareness, but It seems inconsistent with the high-tech and defense-first nature of the movie. (01:26:30)
Other mistake: In Jurassic World, we are told that the Gyrosphere can stop a .50 calibre bullet. When it falls into the sea in this film, Owen shoots some holes in it using a pistol and manages to prise the door off using a small knife.
Other mistake: When Boyce and Ford are watching Chloe and the Nazi officer through the floorboards, the former are in the attic, the latter downstairs in the living room. Surely looking through the attic floorboards would only allow a view into one of the bedrooms. How then do Boyce and Ford manage to see down into the living room?
Other mistake: It isn't known if Rory was diagnosed with ASD, but some of his behaviors and the two classmates in school making a reference to his "Asperger's" indicate or suggest this is the case. While Rory may have been "faking" some mannerisms in hope that the two bullies would leave him alone, his (hyper) sensitivity to noise (sound) was displayed after school when a dog was barking at Rory. However, Rory did not put his hands over his ears in the ball field despite the loud gunshots close to his ears. (00:51:54)
Other mistake: Daphne's dad drops the Legitimate Tulip badge in front of her so she'll avoid getting hurt, but when we see him do that, he does it before the warning for the ball is heard and seemingly not looking at the danger (especially in the second shot, when he is peeking from the corner). So his action makes no sense. (00:16:55)
Other mistake: When Eddie is in his apartment and on the hunt for a new job, he uses his phone to text a contact while looking for work. His phone shows no signal meter. (00:23:10)
Suggested correction: Only Big Nick and the other cops knew Donnie had served. They had his records pulled up. Donnie never told the other crew so he could look inexperienced enough to not run the whole show. It made it easier to double cross both sides later. Donnie played the fool to get the upper hand.
50 cent told Merrimen "he was a marine for a minute" also Donnie has an Eagle, Globe and Anchor tattoo (Marine Corps).
