Factual error: When the bus is shown entering Washington, DC for the competition, the shot shows the bus traveling over the Arlington Memorial Bridge with the Lincoln Memorial in the background. That bridge is on the southwest side of the city. Since NYC is to the northeast of DC, this means that to get to that bridge and enter DC that way, the bus had to drive all the way around the city and then come back in from the opposite direction. Even if the bus driver made a mistake and missed the most direct route into the city from the north, there are dozens of other ways to get to the heart of the city without adding a good 45 minutes to an hour to the trip.
Factual error: In the scene towards the start of the film in Weymouth harbour, you can see the huge building which is Weymouth Pavilion, which was built in 1954, after the original 1909 building burnt down.
Factual error: Barry Seal is taken with the guys of the drug-kartel in a yellow helicopter. There is an internet address on the side of the helicopter, half covered by the door, entirely inappropriate for the timeframe of the early 80's. (00:17:20)
Factual error: Dutch police cars don't look like they do in the movie, with their blue and white checkerboard pattern. They had blue and orange diagonal stripes on the side. In this movie, they look much closer to what British police cars look like.
Factual error: It is roughly 120-135 dB inside of a C-130, especially one that hasn't been specifically modified. It is so loud that it is painful to be in the cargo hold without hearing protection (besides it being outside of military regulations) and you certainly couldn't have a normal conversation while it was in flight.
Factual error: Throughout the "Manhattan" race scenes, it is obvious that the location is nowhere near New York. The wide two-way streets, west coast-style traffic signals, street furniture, and architecture look nothing like Manhattan.
Factual error: The lady hacked a tablet with he command mkdir -p on the command prompt. mkdir command is used to make a folder. (01:00:00)
Factual error: When Xander Cage is chasing Xiang on the dirt bikes, he lets his bike get entirely submerged, which would flood the engine.
Factual error: The action takes place around the second half of June (either side of the Glastonbury festival weekend). At the beginning of the film leaving work early evening in time to get home for dinner, in the UK, it wouldn't be dark. Later on, there isn't that much snow in the Alps, especially below the tree line, at that time of year.
Factual error: In the scene at the Bangkok docks, the ship has the name Athena but with the Greek letter Lambda instead of each capital letter A. This would make the name something like Lthenl, and is a nonsense mix of Greek and English (Roman) letters.
Factual error: The word "intel", used several times, is first recorded in 1961. It certainly wasn't in use in 1918.
Factual error: The Saint steals gold. One gold bar in this movie measures 30cm x10cm at the base and 7 cm high with a 10 degree draft angle. That means about 2.1 liter size and weight of 40 kg for one gold bar. The Saint moves bars with one hand from the briefcase to the backpack, can run and hit etc. The backpack would weigh 240kg and somehow a man runs off with it one one hand. (00:07:00 - 00:11:50)
Factual error: In the 1996 sequence the kid is playing a PlayStation with DualShock controllers, those controllers weren't released until 1997.
Factual error: In the first frontal shot of Percival's Porsche following Lorraine, virtually every car parked at the side of the road is from after 1989, one of them not even being on sale until 2007. (00:16:10)
Factual error: After the Oklahoma City casino incident, it shows a brief scene where Pierce picks up Dr. Rice. The sign in the background says "Ada 15, Oklahoma City 90" on Highway 81. That highway in Oklahoma is, in fact, a real road but it is no where near Ada. The closest area that is 90 miles from OKC would be around Duncan, which is well over 50 miles from Ada. (01:06:20)
Factual error: Jack Sparrow says he loves the French because "they invented mayonnaise." The film is set in the 1750s. The egg-based sauce known as mayonnaise was developed in the early 1800s. The Oxford English Dictionary says the word dates from 1815.
Factual error: The finale takes place at Stonehenge. It is shown surrounded by woods, not in an open plain as it really is. It is also missing a security fence, dyke, a main road and visitors' car park. There are also hills, whereas Salisbury Plain is quite flat.
Factual error: The entire NYC subway platform/subway knife fight between John Wick and Cassian appears to have been filmed in the Port Authority Trans-Hudson (PATH) system that goes between NYC and NJ rather than the Mass Transit Authority (MTA) subway system (you can actually see the PATH logo on the exterior of the train cars). The PATH does not go to any of the subway stations announced on the public address system during the knife fight. (01:18:45 - 01:22:50)
Factual error: Throughout the whole movie, whenever federal agents (or people posing as such...) tasked with the case are shown, they wear uniforms with "U.S.A. Marshals" written in big yellow letters. Of course the one and only correct spelling would be "U.S. Marshal"
Factual error: In the Miami car chase scene near the beginning of the film, the getaway car has Florida license plates on both the front and rear bumpers. In Florida, cars only have rear license plates.
