Fifty Shades of Grey Matter - S2-E11
Trivia: Liv listens to an audio erotica novel which is read by actress Kristen Bell. Liv replies "I always felt a kind of connection to her." iZombie was created by Rob Thomas, who also created the series Veronica Mars which starred Kristen Bell.
Trivia: Robert Forster filmed his scene in this episode at the same time that he filmed his scene in El Camino. He is having a phone conversation with Bob Odenkirk, but Odenkirk shot his part later. Unfortunately, Forster passed months earlier (coincidentally on El Camino's release date) and sadly never got to see his work in neither this nor El Camino.
Trivia: In addition to both being created by Tina Fey, "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" has several noticeable parallels to her previous series "30 Rock." Jane Krakowski is a major supporting character in both shows, and both of her characters are vain, wealthy women who have no concept of the "real world." Co-lead Tituss Burgess was a guest-star on "30 Rock" in several episodes. The construction worker who cat-calls Kimmy, realises he's gay and then begins dating Titus was the same actor who portrayed the construction worker who once cat-called Tina Fey on "30 Rock." And both shows have music done by Fey's husband Jeff Richmond. Fey has said that she was considering throwing in some more "30 Rock" 'Easter-Eggs' into "Kimmy", but decided not to, as she considers them to be similar but different "universes."
Trivia: Paget Brewster, who plays Natasha Leggero and Riki Lindhome's mother, is only 5 years older than Leggero and 10 years older than Lindhome.
The One True King (To Unite Them All) - S2-E10
Trivia: A kid named Menken offers to write young Richard a theme song. Alan Menken was one of the composers for the series.
Trivia: Almost all of the rock songs in the soundtrack (which are primarily songs Ash listens to on the radio) are from the 1970's and 1980's. This was done on purpose, to help illustrate how Ash has been stuck in a state of emotional arrested development since his original adventures - he hasn't really grown as a person since.
Trivia: When Phil Miller is sadly looking at the calendar with the 3 stars on the day, it's Will Forte's actual birthday; June 17th.
Trivia: In Inkognito, Alaska (where the Parkers have fled to), an alpaca has been mayor for 15 years. This seems to be a reference to a real life situation where in Talkeetna, Alaska a cat named Stubbs was mayor. In real life, Talkeetna is unincorporated and just a historical district with no mayor, so Stubbs was just an honorary mayor. Stubbs was said to be a tourist attraction and in s03e03, "The Mark", it's said the alpaca mayor may have increased tourism by 4%.
Weird Dance - S1-E2
Trivia: When Stosh goes to see Tony, the name of the company is Hanley Dental Products. Hanley is also the name of the production company for Weird Loners.
Trivia: Although they play mother and daughter in this episode, Starletta DuPois is only eight years older than Loretta Devine.
