Continuity mistake: The Counselor's watchband during the long phone call about choices, fate, and grief with Jefe changes the direction in which it is latched several times throughout the scene. It is quite prominent because it is on the arm he is using to hold the phone. (01:35:00 - 01:40:00)
Continuity mistake: When Romeo gives his hand to Juliet on the balcony before descending, he gives his right hand to Juliet. Immediately his left hand is shown in Juliet's, then his right hand is shown in hers again.
Continuity mistake: Billy Taggart gets invited to Mayor Hostetler's office. You see as soon as they sit down that there is a grey/black blanket with a pattern next to Russell Crowe. From this point the blanket changes in shape each time. And suddenly after a couple times back and forth shots between them, the blanket is beige/white. Than finally they switch again and it becomes the first blanket again. (00:18:40 - 00:20:10)
Continuity mistake: When Chantry is in Dublin writing her list, the list reads: Toronto - My Job - My Family - My Friends - My Life - Wallace. In the next shot of the list, it just reads: My Friends - My Life - Wallace. The first three entries on the list disappear.
Continuity mistake: Liberace's mother is playing a poker machine at her son's house, with Matt Damon watching. She puts the money in and pulls the lever and waits to see if she has won. She does this over and over, but one time she puts the money in, she doesn't pull the lever, but even so the machine goes through its motions.
Continuity mistake: Before Iggy gets his horns, he got a shot of whisky in the bar from the blonde girl. The level of whisky changes between shots.
Continuity mistake: As Charlotte and her father are hearing Paganini play the violin in their house, they walk to the stairs. As they reach it, her father's head suddenly is turned facing up the stairs.
Continuity mistake: When Max hides under the pig cart, the thermal scan from the ship shows at least 8 or 9 pigs, they barely have room to turn. But when he stands up seconds later, the cart has perhaps five pigs and plenty of space around them. (00:56:00)
Continuity mistake: Young Dan and Jo are fighting over their meal. The position of the tray on the table changes several times, most noticeably when Dan leaps off the table. Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the film you can hear a kettle whistling. But when Alvin removes a teapot (not a kettle) from the heat the whistling stops, but when he puts in back on the heat about 5 seconds later there is no whistle. Continuity mistake: When they are discussing whose pinkie gets cut off, Vince grabs Craig by the neck and pushes him against the refrigerator. Craig is first shown pushed against the right hand side of the refrigerator, but whenever the camera is on him for the rest of the scene, he is shown standing against the left hand side of the refrigerator.
Continuity mistake: Emily Smith-Dungy just kicked her bags in the snow. Her neighbour and schoolmate Kat drives by and offers her a ride home. Emily after initially rejecting her help accepts it; the trophy switches hands from the first quick shot to the next. Her scarf is also positioned differently. (00:08:40)
Continuity mistake: When Irving goes to see Carmine near the end of the film, his glasses start out being tinted, but when he takes them off, as Carmine hits and kicks him, the tint has gone; even outside they're tint-free.
