Continuity mistake: Just after Nick and Billy find professor Xavier and get back with the others, the sun changes between shots.
Continuity mistake: Near the end of the film when Hannah goes to Elliot's house to make up with him, she parks her Volvo SUV directly in front of the door. In fact, the car is visible behind her when she enters the home. Then when she leaves after they argue, she has to walk pretty far up the street to her car, giving him time to catch her.
Continuity mistake: In the first scene, Duncan is sitting to the right side (if we are looking at him) of the back seat of the station wagon. When they are taking the luggage out of the car, there are now bags piled up in the seat on the right side.
Suggested correction: Absolutely no telling how much time has passed between the two scenes. With them being on a road trip, they could have stopped for gas, food, bathroom breaks etc and moved the bags around at any time. Even Duncan could have just done it by himself mid-transit to make a little more room on the floor for his feet.
Continuity mistake: When Aaron throws the umbrella down it turns inside out as it lands on the floor. A couple of shots later the umbrella can be seen from above and it has turned right side out.
Continuity mistake: Michelle Pfeiffer's costume. First we see her toes being painted, drying with tissue between each of her toes. She gets up from the chair to take the peppers out of the oven, talking to Fred about being a writer. She then goes out the door across the street with socks on and Fred's slippers. She never put on any socks or pulled out the tissue.
Continuity mistake: Charlie has set up a "security system" on the right side of the bed. When a double slaps Lindsay's hand, she goes over to a chair on the right side of the bed and the security system has vanished completely. It reappears when she returns to bed.
Continuity mistake: It is mentioned in dialog that during the last bird attack (the first film), a red rain was visible that seemed to drive the birds mad. However, at no time during the original film is there any red rain visible.
Continuity mistake: The English teacher enters the classroom for her first lesson. She writes her name on the blackboard. Her name is written in at least 2 different styles that randomly switch during the scene (easy to tell from the double underline; the two strokes connect with the circle of the capital initial of her name, or stop at the tail). Continuity mistake: Emily Smith-Dungy just kicked her bags in the snow. Her neighbour and schoolmate Kat drives by and offers her a ride home. Emily after initially rejecting her help accepts it; the trophy switches hands from the first quick shot to the next. Her scarf is also positioned differently. (00:08:40)
Continuity mistake: Bera and Bea have multiple sequences where he complains about his roomie Ugo who lashed back at him after all the abuse he had to take from him. There's a plastic cup on the flush tank; in one of the scenes, in between others, the cup is suddenly in a different spot on the tank (more to the right) and the straw is tilted the opposite way than before. Continuity mistake: When Joan walks onto the landing holding a pet bed she tells her father she's putting the bed in the guest room and you can see her hair is tied in a ponytail. However, when she then enters the room, her hair is now untied and down her shoulders. (00:21:11)
Continuity mistake: The protagonist is told about the budget cuts that will lead to the library shutting down. During the scene, the strap of his hat keeps going back and forth in front / behind his ear. (00:02:05)
Continuity mistake: Travers rides in a stretch limousine and Ralph, her driver, always puts her in the seat farthest back at the rear window. However, whenever she is seen inside the vehicle, she is sitting right behind Ralph, and easily reaches over and slides shut the window between the front seat and the back, even though there should be a wide space between where she is sitting and the driver's seat.
Continuity mistake: Notice how Julie pumps her shotgun twice within a few seconds in the lab without once firing.
Continuity mistake: After Dan meets Gretta he walks her to the subway. A girl with a cell phone is coming up, but in the next shot she disappears.
Continuity mistake: During dinner after the funeral Streep has a cigarette in her hand. The next shot her hands are together without a cigarette.
Continuity mistake: The layout of the two slices of pizza on the tray and the position of Tyler's fork on his plate differ after Matt reaches the table. The slices of pizza are touching, then spread apart like a "V." Tyler's fork moves from being diagonally across his plate with tines facing him to being situated near the edge of the plate with tines facing Jessica. (00:13:19)
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the film you can hear a kettle whistling. But when Alvin removes a teapot (not a kettle) from the heat the whistling stops, but when he puts in back on the heat about 5 seconds later there is no whistle. Alvin doesn't remove a whistle cap or turn off the heat. (00:02:30)
Continuity mistake: When Keisha shows the father the painting she made, the father places it on the table over the color palette. Then after Keisha screams in the father's face, the magazine is gone. He sprays her with breath spray and replaces the painting over the color palette. (01:07:00)
Continuity mistake: Our group of jewelry thieves are on their way to "Zugarramurdi" in a stolen taxicab. The "green soldier" Antonio began to wash the color from his face. Nevertheless you can see, depending on the camera angle, that the green color is sometimes seen on his nasal bone and sometimes not. (00:20:55 - 00:21:30)
