Frost/Nixon picture

Corrected entry: There's an external shot of the British Airways jet that Frost is flying over to the US on. The logo is British Airways, but on the tail is BOAC's logo.

Correction: The British Airways / BOAC hybrid scheme was used for some time after BOAC was dissolved in 1974 as it took some time to re-paint all of the planes. The film is therefore correct.

Seven Pounds picture

Corrected entry: In the opening scene, the voice over says God created the world in seven days. According to the bible, God created the world in six days (and then rested on the seventh).

Correction: It is true that God created the world in six days and rested on the seventh. However, the traditional saying is 'God created the world in seven days', not six. So, it isn't a mistake. It is the most common way of saying it.

In Bruges picture

Corrected entry: When Ken jumps from the bell tower, there are several problems. One, he could barely move from the loss of blood and then stands up to jump. Two, he drops the coins from his pocket into a crowd and then jumps into an empty space. Three, he jumps face forward - which would mean he would land perpendicular to the building - however he landed parallel to the building. Four, he was conscious and talking after a fall from that height onto bricks.

Correction: One, it was a last ditch effort using all his strength. It hurt to walk because his knee had been shot, it wasn't the blood loss that incapacitated him. Two, he drops coins into a crown to clear the crowd out. It shows them all stepping out of the way of the falling coins and looking up to see what's going on. That's why he dropped the coins. Three, his body rotated as it fell. Four, not impossible. A woman recently survived a fall from an airplane onto a paved parking lot. If she could fall from that height, there's no reason Ken shouldn't be able to be alive and speaking after his fall.

Bangkok Dangerous picture

Corrected entry: Fon is deaf/mute in the film, as shown in many scenes she appears in. However in some scenes she responds to words Joe says. Especially in the scene where she tries to tell him her name.

Correction: She is looking at his face during those scenes. It's possible she's reading his lips.

Rambo picture

Corrected entry: Rambo has booby-trapped an unexploded nuclear warhead, said in the movie to be from WWII. When the nuclear warhead goes off he is able to outrun it, but the initial shockwave would have been impossible to outrun. Not to mention the nuclear fallout, intense 5000+ degree heat, and other dangers of nuclear warfare.

Correction: It's not a nuclear warhead, but a conventional bomb. They even say in the movie that the bomb is British, and the UK did not use nuclear weapons in WWII. Therefore, no nuclear fallout, and lot less of a shockwave.

The Reader picture

Corrected entry: Michael and Hannah lived in West Berlin. In 1958 it was a closed enclave inside communistic German state (DDR), so a secret two-day bicycle tour in the countryside would be impossible for an under-age boy without parents.

wozi

Correction: During the cafe scene where they have a meal, it's plain to see the waitress presumed Hannah was his mother, and in fact she makes a comment about hoping his mother enjoyed the meal. It was only when he kissed Hannah that the waitress thought anything differently.

Punisher: War Zone picture

Corrected entry: Part of the Punisher's objective in his war against crime is to protect innocent civilians. Yet at one point in the movie he chooses to dispatch an enemy on a rooftop by using a rocket launcher, even though the rocket could have missed and collided with a nearby building and killed several innocents.

S. Ha

Correction: Unfortunately for the innocent civilians, The Punisher's ONLY objective is to punish violent criminals. He's not The Protector, he's The Punisher.

Phixius Premium member

This correction demonstrates a fundamental misunderstanding of the Punisher as a character. Just because he's called the Punisher, it doesn't mean he has no moral code or doesn't care about innocent people. This film, for all of its many flaws, even shows him questioning himself after he mistakenly murders an undercover FBI agent.

Phaneron Premium member

Additionally, the main plot of this film is the Punisher protecting the family of the murdered FBI agent from the mobsters he infiltrated. If punishing criminals was his only objective as you suggested, then he wouldn't go out of his way to help the family. He would just spray bullets at the criminals and shrug off whatever collateral damage he causes in the process.

Phaneron Premium member

If you read some of his comics, he has pursued enemies in front of innocent people and some have been caught in the crossfire sadly. Not really an error.

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa picture

Corrected entry: Alex is dancing as he is fighting Teetsi. Makunga is shown saying "this is even better than I thought." The lion behind him (in the crowd) in the same scene is also seen mouthing the line at the same time.

Correction: He isn't mouthing Makunga's words. He is whispering something to the lioness beside him but he is not mouthing Makunga's line. He isn't heard because he speaks silently. The fact that he speaks his line while Makunga speaks his is purely coincidental. This entry is based on the opinion, not on the fact.

Wild Child picture

Corrected entry: At the beginning of the film Poppy is told she will go to the same boarding school her mother attended to "straighten up". Nearing the end of the film she was surprised to find out her mother went to that same boarding school despite her father telling her so at the start of the film multiple times.

Correction: Actually, I think that he just meant you're going to a boarding school in England like her Mother. He didn't actually mean that she was going to the same one.

Lakeview Terrace picture

Corrected entry: In the scene where Abel and his partner go over to the apartment regarding the boyfriend holding his girlfriend and child hostage with a gun, they live on the first floor of the apartment building. But when the boyfriend jumps out of the window, he is jumping from a 2nd story window.

Correction: Actually the apartment building is built over it's garage. The two officers also walk up steps to get to the crowd of people at the front of the building.

Soul Men picture

Corrected entry: Why should it even matter to Floyd Henderson about how much Louis Hinds wants out of the $40,000 when he's lying about the money anyway?

jbrbbt

Correction: It mattered because if he agreed to the 60/40 split so willingly Louis would've gotten suspicious of if money was really offered or not.

Blindness picture

Corrected entry: After the group leaves their "prison", they seem to be walking everywhere. Doesn't Julianne Moore's character know how to drive? After all, the only reason nobody is driving is because they're all blind, right? The roads seemed relatively clear.

Correction: Maybe she doesn't know how to drive. Maybe she doesn't want to drive. Maybe the roads are not reliable enough for her to trust driving, and fuelling/servicing a car. There's tons of reasons she could choose to walk, none of them a movie mistake.

My Best Friend's Girl picture

Corrected entry: Right after Dusty goes to Alexis's apartment and finds her with Tank, Dusty walks outside. At the bottom of the screen you see a part of the back end of Tank's car. Considering his car is an old Mustang GTO and it's a light blue color, why doesn't Dusty realize he's there before he even walks in to the apartment and sees them together?

Correction: No such car as a Mustang GTO exists. Only Pontiac and Ferrari had GTOs, and Mitsubishi had a home market GTO which was named 3000GT or Dodge Stealth in North American markets.

College Road Trip picture

Corrected entry: When the pig is destroying the wedding, he jumps on the pudding, which is on the bride. The mess is on the front of her dress, but in the next shot it is on the right of her dress.

dell

Correction: It is in the middle the whole time.

Bronson picture

Corrected entry: When Bronson is in the cell with the officer he took hostage the phone rings. There is an obvious hand holding the receiver on the telephone, then giving it to him and subsequently retracting off camera. (01:02:50)

Correction: There is no mistake, as the phone is handed to Bronson by a guard through the hatch in the door.

Flash of Genius picture

Corrected entry: In the last scene, the family is sitting in a cafe, and the oldest son says the news of the trial was even on CNN. Assuming he invented his windshield wiper in 1967, and the movie's timeline progressed 12 years, that would have put the date of the trial at 1979. CNN was founded in 1980, thus, it wouldn't have been around for at least another year.

Correction: The key words you used are "assuming he invented the windshield wiper in 1967." Well, how about assuming he invented the windshield wiper in 1968? That would put it in 1980.

Futurama: Bender's Game picture

Corrected entry: When the professor explains why he is so angry about the dark matter shortage, he says "it all began 30 years ago" and you can see that Mom's children are babies. But when Nibbler explains how he ended up in the factory with the other Nibblonians, he says it all began 36 years ago and Mom's children are adults. (00:26:25 - 00:43:10)

swissmistake97

Correction: The professor actually says "thirty odd years ago", which could mean more than 30 years. Given his senility, that's a surprisingly good estimate.

Che: Part One picture

Corrected entry: The film leads the viewer to believe that Guevara was hired as a mercenary and a combatant. In actuality, he was hired as a medic. It wasn't until he was seen running into battles that he became a combatant.

serip

Correction: He often treats the peasants in the movie and can be seen working with the wounded.

The Good, The Bad, The Weird picture

Corrected entry: The gang member who questions Park Chang-yi about the duel is wearing boots with modern rubber soles, even though the movie is set in the 1940s.

Correction: Boots with rubber soles were patented in 1899.

Leatherheads picture

Corrected entry: When Lexie is in her boss' office and lights up a cigarette, you can see that it has a filter on it. Filter cigarettes didn't come out till around 1936: the movie takes place in 1925. Just a side note: if you notice, she never actually smokes the cigarette either.

Correction: Cigarette filters were actually invented in 1925 by a Hungarian scientist, and filters were used on "elite" brands of cigarettes since then, and used on the majority of cigarettes by the 1960s. Most common brands of cigarettes took until the 1950s for filters to become commonplace, but filters were kind of "options" on cigarettes since they were invented.
