Continuity mistake: Addington and his manager talk about showing Zarno the "Under the Sun" sticker idea to make money. Trouble is he would already be getting royalties from it. Two scenes earlier, April May meets up with Add wearing an "Under the Sun" T-shirt. Therefore he was already making money and didn't need to go see Zarno.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Daphne is talking to the peasant farmer after leaving the King, Luster casts "Flaming Hand of Fiery Doom". Daphne blinks a few times and has a shocked look on her face, but has no other indications that a person exploded in front of her. In the next shot, Luster comes up and pulls "a piece of peasant" off Daphne's cheek that wasn't there before.
Continuity mistake: When Ronald's girlfriend gets up at the breakfast table, and tousles his hair, Ronald is holding a glass of milk in his right hand. There's a cut to a wide shot, and Ronald is not holding the milk. There's not enough time for him to have put it down.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Sam is talking with the person in the cemetery, while they are sitting side by side on a bench. In one shot there is an object on his left shoulder and it is missing in the next shot.
Continuity mistake: During this scene, the female lead, Freya, is being attacked by the Moorwen youngster in order to eat her. When above her, the Moorwen's saliva is dripping onto her face, cut away to the monster, as it hears the main characters coming to her rescue. Cut back to Freya and there is none of the saliva on her face, another cut back to the creature and a final cut back to Freya, her face is now covered in saliva again. (01:27:30)
Continuity mistake: When Abby is finished washing the dishes, she tosses the towel she was using and it lands on top of a red can. An immediate close-up of the towel on top of the can proves this (0:25:29). A second later, the picture zooms out again to show her bending over from exhaustion (0:25:30). The towel is no longer on the can, but behind it against the wall. Abby follows the shop owner into a room adjacent to the kitchen and when they come back, the towel is once again on top of the can (0:25:55), but most of it is inside the can this time. It's obvious that neither her nor the shop owner has touched the towel and no one else is in the shop. (00:25:25)
Continuity mistake: When Justin gets his sex toy home, he turns his family photo facing down on his nightstand. He turns the photo down square with the nightstand. The next cut, the photo is turned 45 degrees to the nightstand. (00:14:10)
Continuity mistake: Gina's father opens the door, club in his hand, and finds his family inside for the surprise party. In the reverse shot, Gina's position is also mirrored, having the right arm raised instead of her left. (00:08:15)
Continuity mistake: Mike Manador watches his girlfriend Gina drive away in a taxi. Behind him a truck can be seen coming down the street. Mike then steps out into street seconds later, but the truck has vanished. Next shot looks up the street and sure there is the taxi but no other vehicles, and you can see the entire street. (01:41:25)
Continuity mistake: When Wyatt is shot, the amount of blood on his shirt next to the collar increases, decreases and even disappears between shots.
Continuity mistake: When Despereaux fights the cat in the rat arena, he hides behind a blue ball of yarn. When the cat hits the yarn, causing Despereaux and the yarn to fly in the air, in the next shot, the ball of yarn vanishes and never reappears again.
Continuity mistake: When the first guy out of the main 3 is dragged to the hunting range (after having his spine exposed and meat cut off), he falls backwards into the snow and when he sort of rolls over, there is snow all over his exposed backbone and flesh but when he stumbles and gets up, there is no evidence of snow whatsoever.
Continuity mistake: When the mother puts the drawing from her daughter in her pocket she puts it in the left pocket of her jeans. When she takes it out later, she takes it from her right jean pocket.
Continuity mistake: The getaway car has its path blocked by the police on one end of the road. They U-turn and try to escape the other way. During this sequence there are POV shots from inside the car that were filmed at a very different time; the natural light is completely different. (00:02:20)
Continuity mistake: When the soldiers rip off posters that depicts racial images of buffalo soldiers, the board underneath remains blank. Later in the movie, when they are about to escape the town, the board is shown with tattered old postings again.
Continuity mistake: At the end of the film, Nicolas Cage assaults the enemy compound with two Glock 17s. When he exits the compound and shoots at the boss's car, which is pulling away, in one shot he is firing a SIG P226, but in a later shot is using a Glock again. (01:28:55 - 01:29:45)
Continuity mistake: In the beginning, when Michael Berg is sick on the street in Neustadt and is leaning on a wall to throw up, he's near a closed door and is positioned to the right of that door. Next shot, from inside, shows the door now open and he is leaning to the left part of the door. (00:03:15)
Continuity mistake: While Michael Malone and Gen. Patton are discussing what just happened in the subway, in the background, two ACLU zombie-lawyers begin chasing an ambulance as it drives away. After a brief cut away, we return to the same view - and the same zombie-lawyers chasing the same ambulance.
Continuity mistake: There is a modern coffee thermos container on the sink by the window during a scene set in the 1930s. In the next shot, it suddenly disappears. (00:46:25)
Continuity mistake: Jim, driving Scott home, is smoking a cigarette that disappears before he slaps Scott the second time. There is no smoke in the vehicle that would suggest Jim temporarily placed the cigarette in the ashtray. (00:15:09)
