Other mistake: When Henry and Lefroy strip off before going swimming, they enter the water wearing their boots, however their trousers have been removed despite there not having been time for them to remove them and replace the boots.
Other mistake: During the film the narrator states: "He also had a condition that was referred to as "granulated eyelids" and it caused him to blink more than usual as if he found creation slightly more than he could accept." However, this never occurs once in the movie and in fact the opposite happens, Jesse stares into space hardly blinking throughout the entire film.
Other mistake: After falling in the pit of water at the end, there is at least one shot (if not more), only a minute or so later (when Turner is stabbed in the leg by Julie), where Kale's shirt appears to be completely dry, when it should be still quite drenched.
Other mistake: Near the end of the film, when Jack Doyle is being arrested, the Mass. State Police troopers' badges and shoulder patches are not what is actually worn by this police department, although the remainder of the uniform appears to be accurate.
Other mistake: In the case file folder that Crawford sent back to Willy, you can spot the hour of the arrest being marked down as 21:15. Considering the murder happened around 5 PM, according to the depositions, that's just wrong. (00:37:20)
Other mistake: When Evan is conducting the orchestra, his conducting pattern does not line up with the downbeat of one as the camera angle changes.
Other mistake: The effects of a stroke are unilateral, and the movie shows his right eye affected, but the facial droop is shown on the left side. This wouldn't happen. The droop would be on the same side as the eye.
Other mistake: Mr Brooks hands over the keys to Mr. Smith after closing the cemetery gate behind them, but never retrieves them back after killing him and pushing the body down the grave.
Other mistake: The film's set in Seattle but was filmed in Canada. This is evidenced by things like a Canadian red striped postal box as well as cars with Canadian license plates.
Other mistake: Chris' leg cast was thigh-high. When he got out of bed (and used crutches), his cast was OVER his pants. His pants' leg did not appear to be cut off - it was securely under the cast and never changed despite all the fighting/activity he engaged in. (00:36:22)
