Corrected entry: In the investigation of the "spike trap" scene, the rod (and the shadow of the rod) can already be seen through the left side of the crime scene photographer's neck before it even enters. (01:02:05)
Corrected entry: In the opening scene, when Carter is upset about the "1981 Cutlass Supreme" getting hit, the car shown (although briefly) is a 1980s model Monte Carlo. Notice the front end, longer hood, body lines, etc. The body style of an Olds Cutlass and Chevy Monte Carlo look similar, but they are in fact entirely different.
Correction: This is a character mistake. Many people misidentify cars, and Carter is not the most intelligent character in this film.
Corrected entry: Despite what seems to be indicated in the film, the captain of the Dutchman is not cursed to do that job for eternity. The scenes about the specifics of the curse were cut from the final version. The captain of the Dutchman must do the job for 10 years at a time, coming ashore on his one day every 10 years. If the captain's true love is waiting for him when he returns, his bond to the ship is severed and he can leave being captain and live with his love on land. (all of this is confirmed by Mr. Elliott and Mr. Rossio in the forums at wordplayer.com).
Correction: It seems this is wrong now. In the Special Edition 2 Disc DVD of POTC:AWE, it has a booklet that has the top questions that were asked by fans after watching the film. One of the questions asks if Will is to be the captain of the Dutchman forever, even if Elizabeth has waited for him, and it says that yes, in fact he is forever doomed to captain the ship (unless someone stabs his heart and takes his place).
Corrected entry: The BEF was a professional army and was not staffed with conscripted prisoners.
Correction: Robbie wasn't conscripted [forced into service], he was offered parole in exchange for joining the army. He was a free man once he entered the army.
Corrected entry: The steps up to Evans house change. In the scene where he discovers the tools, they are two sets of small steps with a handrail, but when he comes down the steps naked, there are just three steps with no rail.
Correction: Evan was using different entrances/exits in his house.
Corrected entry: Near the end of the movie Bourne goes to 415, East 71st Street in Manhattan. We see him outside of the building which is a modern skyscraper. Once inside he has a conversation with the man that "recruited" him in a white room. When the men that are after him break into the room, he jumps through an older type window onto a rooftop. The window is completely out of place for the type of building he is in. When he falls off the rooftop and into the East River, his fall is only forty to sixty feet, contrary to falling from a roof of a modern skyscraper in downtown Manhattan. In addition the address of the building is several blocks away from the East river.
Correction: Not true. The front is a skyscraper type, but the training facility is a "wing" and could be a different architectural style. Additionally a wing of a building wouldn't have to be only at 415 location, it could span the rest of the 400 block. When he jumps through the window he lands in the alley/walkway between buildings and heads up a fire escape of a nearby building, which would presumably be the 500 block, which is right beside the river. Google map it.
If you Google Map it (or are familiar with Manhattan) you'd see that 415 East 71st is not a high rise and not on a corner. It is a 6-story mid-block residential building. And, the 500 block is across York Avenue, so if JB somehow ran across the rooftops of the 400 block (including leaping to the top of a 30-story building), he would then have to jump across 6 lanes plus 2 sidewalks, then cover the entire 500 block to the FDR Drive, and then leap over 7 lanes and an esplanade to reach the river.
Corrected entry: When Daphne's birthday cake is brought in, the candles on the lower half are not lit, but when it's set down, all of the candles are lit.
Correction: As they bring the cake out the movement/wind causes it to only look like they aren't lit. They stay lit the entire time, but once the cake is set down the flames are able to flare up again.
Corrected entry: During the "You Can't Stop The Beat" number at the end, when Amber goes to sit in the Hairspray Can, on the wide shot with Link and Tracey at the front, you can see the can starts to move up slightly at the back, then the shot changes to the guys starting to pull the ropes, then the can is seen stationary for a split second before starting to move up with Amber inside it.
Correction: This is a fly system with counterweights. The rope could have a little slack in it that has to be pulled out before it's taught enough to start pulling on the can.
Corrected entry: In the scene where Nikolai is returning the bike to Anna at one point he pulls out a black cloth and wipes off one of the handlebars. A few seconds later however the cloth has vanished.
Correction: You said so yourself. The cloth vanished "a few seconds later", it doesn't take long to put a piece of cloth away. He could have easily put the cloth back in his coat pocket during the 4 seconds of close-up.
I agree on this correction, and I add that the cloth goes from the handlebar, through a cut on Watts, to Viggo's hand, and only then 'disappears'. He has time to pocket it as the correction says.
Corrected entry: It is impossible to walk to Gare de Lyon from La Défense because where he is dropped off is an elevated pedestrian zone and at the end of it is the motorway and metro line - no footpath.
Corrected entry: In the very first scene, Seth, on his cell phone, explains to Evan the porn site "Vagtastic Voyage" as if Evan had never heard of it. But later that day, when Evan tells Becca of the guys' previous Saturday night, the flashback shows them watching that very porn site.
Correction: Evan's exact words were "Which site was that?" Its possible that Evan didn't remember looking at that specific site, and its also possible that they viewed multiple sites that night and he couldn't remember exactly which one was the Vagtastic Voyage.
Corrected entry: In 'Death Proof', a white 1970 Dodge Challenger is featured prominently in both the dialogue and as the vehicle driven by the three heroines. This is a homage to the 1971 film, 'Vanishing Point'. But a major plot point of the story hinges on a feature the car never had. Zoe Bell's character will lay on the hood of the car, held there by belts attached to the frames of the door windows, but no 1970-74 Dodge Challenger ever had such frames. The car is a two-door hardtop coupe, and it's windows are frame-less (and there is no reason anyone would want to custom add them). This error is magnified by the fact that they used chrome frames where black ones would have been far less 'hacked' looking. The entire error could have been avoided by simply installing a full roll cage in the car, using the bars at the A-pillars to attach the belts to.
Correction: Yes, the error could have been avoided with a roll cage, but it's just as unlikely a guy would install a roll cage in a car not built for racing, as installing window frames.
Corrected entry: In the very first scene, where we can watch again the birth of the "Predator bred" Alien, the wound in the Predator's chest should be filled with fluorescent Pred blood, not gooey green slime, Aline blood. After all, it was a Predator's Chest. (00:01:40)
Correction: It's also a dead Predator, so it seems pretty reasonable that Predator blood might congeal much like humans would as it dries out. And it hardly qualifies as a plot hole either.
Corrected entry: Bo's driving instructor throws his clipboard upward from his lap. The instructional car hits the police car and the instructor recoils from the impact. The next shot is of the airbag deploying with the instructor's pen still in writing position near his lap. The shot after all of that is Bo being tasered. Although the taser was invented in 1969, law enforcement did not start using it until near the turn of the century (especially in relatively small counties). (00:01:45)
Correction: This movie is set in current days (a prequel to the 2005 movie, not the TV show), so the use of the Taser is perfectly logical.
Corrected entry: In the scene when Juno and Paulie are making out by the track, Paulie's hand is in his sweatshirt pocket then the shot changes and his hand is now around Juno's waist without enough time for it to have moved that far.
Correction: No, in a close up shot on her waist you can see him doing it.
Corrected entry: When Collette asks, "What did the customer say?", there is no ladder in front of the stove. Then right before Chef Skinner tastes the soup, he is able to pull out a ladder from the front of the stove. (00:26:25)
Correction: There is no ladder leaning against the stove, yes, but the ladder (as seen a few seconds before this scene) is right beside the kitchen door. When Colette is asking "What did the customer say?", Skinner is standing beside the ladder. When the camera cuts to Remy, Skinner covers the distance between the door and the stove. It is plausible to assume that he brought the ladder along. He lets it lean against the stove to get the spoon from Colette.
Corrected entry: At the daughter's house, Nicholson rips up "The Bucket List" and throws the pieces to the ground. Later, the list is in perfect condition (not wrinkled or taped up), with the same pen colors for each item (not re-written).
Corrected entry: When Daniel and Henry are sitting on the beach the close up of Henry shows him shirtless. When the camera pans back, Henry is wearing a black shirt and bottoms.
Correction: I just saw this movie again, and in the scene described, when the camera pans back, it DOES look like Henry is wearing a shirt and pants, but actually he's simply in a dark shadow. Check it out again.
Corrected entry: Worst rubber 'dead dog' ever. Shot in mid air, it's stiff as a board as soon as it hits the ground. (00:20:10)
Correction: If you watch closely the dog moves its hind leg ever so slightly, so it had to be a real dog on the ground at some point.
Corrected entry: When Dennis is talking to Libby on the balcony at her birthday party, her dress is draped from one shoulder but in the next shot it is draped from the other.
Correction: I have watched the scene several times, and even gone through it frame-by-frame, and I can guarantee that at no point do you ever see the rod (or shadow) coming out of the photographer's neck before the rod enters. In fact, going frame-by-frame, you can tell that it perfectly comes out in sync with it's entrence.
