Continuity mistake: When the Spanish singer is singing on in the club for the first time on her own, at the end of her song she stamps on her hat flattening it. In the next shot, the hat is back to normal.
Deliberate mistake: In the scene where Marie is trying on shoes, a pair of powder blue high top Converse sneakers can be seen next to her feet. It must have been done intentionally, but since there is no trace of modern apparel anywhere else in the film (the closest would be the mere mention of hot pink dress fabric but, as it's not shown, we don't know what exactly Marie calls "hot pink") these shoes (and the fabric) can't be considered part of a thematic element or artistic license. Continuity mistake: When Jake is told to take his soccer equipment and put it in his room, he takes it and sits on his bed, and shoves all the gear underneath his bed. In the next shot when Trish enters the room, half of the equipment is back out on the floor again.
Continuity mistake: When Sheba is standing outside of the car talking to Barbara in the scene where she has to choose between her son's play and consoling Barbara, the passenger door is shown opened, then closed, then opened etc.
Continuity mistake: When all of the dancers are preparing for the showcase dance, Nora walks in with hair that has her usual bounce. When she and Lucy are talking in front of the mirror, her hair is almost completely straight, sporting just a few slight waves. When Tyler approaches her backstage, her hair is extra curly. It has only been a few minutes, and there was not enough time for her to have curled it. This is confirmed in the commentary.
Continuity mistake: In the scene on the roof after the power transfer, Hannah falls through the sky light and Matt yells down to her. You can tell the close-ups on Matt were re-shot because Matt's hair is longer and styled differently in between shots.
Revealing mistake: When Cole's friend is being attacked by crows, Cole and his sister are driving. The car starts to skid and an above shot shows many skids marks on the road from previous takes.
Revealing mistake: Just as the bus begins to roll down the mountainside, cables are visible which were holding the bus in place. Most easily seen during the first complete rollover. (00:05:45)
Continuity mistake: When Katie is listening to music in her room she takes off her jacket, then in the next shot it is back on again. (00:13:05)
Continuity mistake: In the scene after Rae discovers being chained her top changes positions on her shoulder between the shots.
Continuity mistake: At the end, during the fight scenes in the first class cabin, the number of overhead compartment doors that are open changes.
Revealing mistake: The money that the two gang members are counting in the opening view of the hotel room scene is obviously fake. Notice how white the bills are, when they should be greener and have more of the random anti-counterfeit features. (00:02:00)
Continuity mistake: When Grubitz talks to Wiesler in the cafe, the amount of beer in their glasses keeps changing.
Revealing mistake: When Gary and his friend are drinking Bud in the bar, the Bud label moves between shots to keep facing the camera. Gary doesn't touch the bottle.
Factual error: The main character of the movies buys a pistol that is a 1911 Colt, which fires the .45 round. However, when the police show up at the warehouse, and see the shell casings, they mention as belonging to a .38.
Continuity mistake: When Carrie-Anne Moss leaves the house to bring drinks to her son and Fido, she closes the red front door behind her. When we cut to Fido's POV of her approaching, the door is wide open.
Continuity mistake: Saigo is told to empty out the chamberpot because it is full. But it is not full when he is taking it outside to empty it.
Factual error: When Hope is driving the pickup in the car chase, she yanks the parking brake, causing a tank of propane to fly out the tailgate and into the car that is chasing her. This is completely impossible. The tank would have slid in the other direction (forward) and slammed into the back of the cab when she slowed down. (00:38:10)
Factual error: When the Marines strip off and run into the sea in the final scene, Doc takes off a pair of white socks that would be more appropriate for a final at Wimbledon. Not only are they white rather than khaki, they are virtually spotlessly clean which would be impossible after a week of fighting on the black sands of Iwo Jima.
Revealing mistake: Near the end, when the captain is walking out of the labyrinth holding the baby, you can tell it's a dummy. The baby does not move in the slightest, you can't even see it breathe.
