Continuity mistake: When Jack is asking Isabel out on a date as they're standing by their trailers, he's very excited and walking backwards towards his trailer. His bicycle is behind him and it looks like he's just about to trip over it. When the camera cuts back to him, he's closer his trailer door and hasn't fallen over the bicycle, but it's not visible behind him anymore either.
Continuity mistake: When Danny meets Sam the second time he is bleeding on the floor. When he falls to the floor the amount of blood on it differs between the shots. (00:26:55)
Continuity mistake: When Samantha is sitting at the foot of the bed with an ice pack on her head, eating toothpaste, in one shot she spits some toothpaste out and it goes over Chris' hand. In the next shot his hand is clean. (00:36:55)
Continuity mistake: When Mr. Collins introduces himself to Mr. Darcy, Mary is behind them, talking to her parents. However, you can hear Mary singing at the piano (in the next room) at the same time, and then go on to see her there in the next scene. (00:40:20)
Continuity mistake: When Kutcher and Peet are in the restaurant, the amount of water in their glasses change from full to empty to full to half full, in about one or two scenes.
Continuity mistake: Rebecca's hair changes from in front of her ear to behind it, while she is talking to John from the car. (01:24:35)
Continuity mistake: When Holly is bathing Zoe, the bubbles keep disappearing and reappearing during different consecutive shots.
Continuity mistake: During the "Battle Dance", there is a shot that focuses on Adam and a group of dancers. In the lower right corner you see a guy in black with long hair run to join their group. However, in the next shot, that same guy is standing behind Adam's rival, snaps his fingers, and runs to join Adam's group.
Continuity mistake: When Steve Martin is talking to Claire Danes (I forget the exact time; she's wearing a tan sweater, I remember), she's sitting on a bed. At one point, she leans forward. The very next shot is of Steve Martin standing in front of a mirror opposite the bed - and in that mirror, Claire Danes is sitting *back*.
Other mistake: In the credits at the end of the film "Editing" is spelled "Edting."
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Simon is having dinner with Theresa's family, Theresa has a bowl of salad. She puts some salad on her plate and then some on Simon's plate. When the shot changes she is putting salad on her plate and Simon's plate again.
Deliberate mistake: With John Cusack leaning to the side to pull Diane Lane and the dog from the water, the rowing scull should have nearly tipped over, yet it leans only slightly. Later in the same scene, the normal instability of such boats can be seen when tipping occurs to a greater degree simply from the dog moving.
Continuity mistake: When Mother and Mameha are waiting for the bid on Sayuri's mizuage, Mother's cigarette is short at one point, but becomes longer in the next shot.
Continuity mistake: When Terry is driving to see Denny, there is a shot from inside her car where the rear-view mirror is not attached. The next scene in which she is driving to Terry's, her rear-view mirror is mounted on the windshield.
Continuity mistake: In the bar scenes, the Dos Equis beer bottles change position pretty much after every shot. Sometimes there are three bottles in a row, then two, then three again. And when the bottle of nearly full beer gets tipped over, not only is there no spill, but no foam generated from the bottle being shaken the way it was.
Other mistake: During the scene where the young man gives the headphones to the girl, the placement of the headphones changes several times at different points of view. (00:27:10)
Revealing mistake: Very obvious stunt double when Dennis Quaid's character falls off the forklift into the kiddie pool at the hardware store.
Revealing mistake: In the shot when Rosario cries in silence with her dead brother at the bed he moves the little finger of his left hand.
Deliberate mistake: The tiny hot air balloon that Francesca released in the debate room would never be able to support Casanova's weight.
Continuity mistake: When Alice and Trixie get home after work, in a closeup Trixie is wearing her coat but in a wide shot her coat is suddenly off, and is in her hands.
