Trivia: There is an actual band in Canada called the Wyrd Sisters who tried to stop the November 18th release of 'Goblet of Fire' in Canada because there is a band of the same name in the movie, but they lost their case.

Trivia: In the scene where Wallace fetches the giant rabbit after it has come off the van, Gromit turns on the radio, and we hear a song called "Bright Eyes" from the film 'Watership Down' a film about rabbits.

Trivia: There is a scene when the lemurs are showing a book called "To Serve Lemur". This is similar to one of the classic episodes of The Twilight Zone, "To Serve Man" when the "aliens" allegedly come in peace but actually want to eat the people of earth.

Trivia: A popular film poster shows Emily and Victor reaching their hands toward one another. Emily's bony hand is on her right and Victor's suit and vest are backwards (note its buttons). Some say it was for legal reasons - Johnny Depp's name was supposed to appear on the poster first because of a contract, and they wanted the characters underneath the corresponding star names, hence the issue. Others say it was simply because the picture looked better with the bride on the right side.

Trivia: Australian comedian Mark Mitchell re-voiced Buck Cluck for the Australian release, but in an American accent.

Trivia: A little nod to another Blue Sky Studios Production, "Ice Age". When Rodney is looking around Robot city, he comes across a red robot that plays hip-hop. As Rodney walks away nervously ("Uh, n-n-never mind"), pause the frame just before the shot changes and you'll see (on the left) a yellow, mechanical Sid. Sid is the sloth (and the main character) from "Ice Age". (00:15:25)

Trivia: When Crazy Dave is putting the chain on Herbie at his yard, Herbie squirts oil all over his foot. This is a reference to the 1968 film "The Love Bug", in which Herbie did exactly the same thing to Thorndyke (David Tomlinson).

Trivia: To make Lisa frozen in the movie, the director had sculptors and painters make a life replica of Kristen Stewart through body scans.

Trivia: At the part where the band arrives to play for the evil witch, one of the band members states "We've had the same stinking tour bus since 1978" which is referring to "The Great Muppet Movie" (made in 1978) in which they first mention the tour bus.

Trivia: Director Adam Shankman has a cameo as Zoe's driving teacher.

Trivia: AnnaSophia Robb ("Opal") has a remarkable and even uncanny resemblance to Dakota Fanning. Agewise, their dates of birth are less than three months apart. Dakota is not in "Because of Winn-Dixie", but her younger sister Elle is. Dakota and Elle have acted in the same movie (e.g, Elle played a younger version of Dakota in "I Am Sam"). Perhaps Dakota had a prior commitment/contract filming "The Door In The Floor" (2004) so could not sign a contract to star in "Because of Winn-Dixie" (2005) with filming starting in 2003.

Trivia: At the end of the credits, there is a message that reads, "This movie is dedicated only to the truly naughty. And their children."
