Deliberate mistake: As the horse named "Sir Trenton", who is supposed to be a stallion, is galloping away you can see that "he" is a female.
Deliberate mistake: When the police come into Max's office near the end, they force Franz Liebkind to drop his gun. Immediately after doing so, Franz cringes in pain, implying that the gun was dropped on his foot. However, the gun was dropped about 2 feet from where his foot would have been. It would have been literally impossible for the gun to have hit his foot.
Deliberate mistake: The turn count for Lisa's stay in the Cryogenic Sleep Chamber is off. The card reads she should be there for 5 turns. 'Turn' can either represent a single move made by either Danny or Walter, or a complete game cycle where both Danny and Walter have made a move. If we count the turns by player, it comes to 8 and she's awake 2 turns too late as it should have happened at the start of 6th. If we count both players' moves together as a start of a turn, then she's awake 2 turns too early as its turn 4 and not turn 6. It seems obvious from showing us the shower suddenly start up that this is the correct point in the film they wanted her awake, so it's unlikely she was actually awake off-camera during the Astronaut's arrival and we just didn't see.
Deliberate mistake: The mystery begins as Winston points out the postmark on the envelope that Dan receives, it is too faint to see where it's from. But whenever we see a close up of the envelope, there is no postmark at all.
Deliberate mistake: Frank Beardsley moves his family into an old, defunct lighthouse, and subsequently makes a project of restoring the rotating lamp and actually running it. But lighthouses are navigational devices. Each one in use has its own unique, catalogued period, which identifies it and therefore helps a distant ship determine its own position. By running a "phantom" lighthouse, Frank, a career Coast Guard officer, risks confusing ships' navigators at sea. No real nautical officer would do such a thing.
Deliberate mistake: It's Christmas in Denver and there is snow on the ground. However, there still are quite a fair amount of leaves on the trees in various shots.
Deliberate mistake: On the map showing the location of all the 'Camel Hump' refuelling blimps, none of them are anywhere near the countries EDI visits in the film - the nearest one is more than a thousand miles away over the Pacific.
Deliberate mistake: When the tribe does the ceremonial dance to bring the crow back to life, you can see the same shot of the bird leaping up twice.
Deliberate mistake: When Constantine comes out of the library after speaking with Gabriel, he stands beside Angela and none of them cast any noticeable shadows on the door and walls behind them. When it cuts to a shot above them, shadows are more being cast behind them. This is probably because of different light settings on the set. (00:23:35)
Deliberate mistake: When Aeon is fastening ropes to lower herself down into the security system, her hair parting has switched sides as she fastens the second rope, revealing a flipped shot. (00:08:25)
Deliberate mistake: In the beginning Chris and Jaime are on the bed talking and she is excited about graduating she is wearing a mini dress. In the shot where she falls face down in his lap and her dress goes up, she's wearing black tights underneath her dress, which are not there in any other shot.
Deliberate mistake: When Dead Reckoning is firing the missiles at the end (towards the crowd that's being eaten by zombies), you can tell that they repeat the same shot of the missile firing three separate times, even though it's supposed to be three different missiles. (It's the shot of the exhaust coming out of the back of the launcher.) They try to mask it by cutting a little earlier or later each time... but it's obvious.
Deliberate mistake: The chainsaw cuts off the German torturer's leg and it manages to move all by itself a few feet within a few seconds, when it would just run and slowly move and stall as seen after it moves. Obviously done to increase the tension. In addition, the chainsaw looks very clean with no blood dripping and bloodstains on the floor.
Deliberate mistake: Otis was portrayed as an albino in "House of 1000 Corpses" but in this film he has normal skin pigment.
Deliberate mistake: In the ambulance scenes, John Goodman is given oxygen via a nasal tube, probably so he could tell his story. In real life, a mask covering the nose and mouth would be used for maximum effectiveness in such a critical situation.
Deliberate mistake: There was a black wrought iron fence behind Whitney but with enough space for JD to drive between them. After JD parked, Whitney (and her friend) were much closer to the fence, but they were also at the rear of JD's parked SUV, which would not be spatially possible. When JD, Jane, and Ally got out of the SUV, they walked right in front of Whitney, who was now much closer, and the fence was no longer behind Whitney. (00:27:50 - 00:28:14)
Deliberate mistake: In the beginning of the film, the horse-drawn carriage driven by McGivens is able to crash through a brick pillar and keep moving forward... yet just one minute later in the scene, it's flipped and destroyed by a rope attached to a flimsy wooden spool. There's no consistency to the strength of the carriage.
Deliberate mistake: It's a really fun visual, but when the bad guys enter the kitchen and get swarmed by African-American waiters in white tuxedos, one can't help but wonder how it could be that Darius was almost the only waiter on the floor up until a moment before - there were a couple others, mostly white dudes, while now we see about 20 people, all of color, coming out at once. The disproportion is huge, it's not like dinner is being served. (00:39:30)
