Trivia: At one point, Robin makes a reference to John Ashcroft "[losing] to a dead man." This is actually true - the "dead man" was Missouri governor Mel Carnahan. Carnahan was running for Senate, but died in a plane crash three weeks before the election. It was too late to remove his name from the ballot, but the voters elected Carnahan, anyway. His term was served by his widow, Jean.
Trivia: Rupert Everett ad-libbed two scenes: the one in which he kisses Colin Firth on the cheek, and the one where he heartily slaps Colin Firth on the bottom. The director, Oliver Parks, thought Firth's startled reactions were so funny that he kept both in the film.
Trivia: When Leah asks where the new girls are from, Michael Rosenbaum says "Newburgh," which is his actual home town.
Trivia: The man driving the baggage carrier that brings the suitcase into Miami is seen shortly afterward driving the boat that Puggy rides.
Trivia: Craig Bartlett, the creator of the nickelodeon show that the movie is based on, is the voice of Murray the bus driver, and others, in the movie.
Trivia: Pam Grier plays Flura Nash, the mother of Pluto Nash, played by Eddie Murphy. In reality, Grier is only twelve years older than Murphy.
Trivia: The poem Lucy reads to Ben at the campsite are lyrics to the Britney Spears' song, "I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman."
Suggested correction: I'm not really sure this would count as trivia considering how obvious it is. Ben even turns it into the song at the end of the movie.
Trivia: Director Shawn Levy has a cameo during the "Whitaker and Fowl" party after the premiere, as the first guest bashing Marty's movie. (00:52:50)
Trivia: One of Pistachio's disguises is President George W. Bush. On "Saturday Night Live," Dana Carvey was known for his impression of Bush's father, former President George H. W. Bush.
Trivia: This film features five stars of Joss Whedon's "Buffyverse": writer/director/star Amber Benson (Tara Maclay), James Marsters (Spike), Andy Hallett (Lorne), Jeff Rickets (Watcher's Council member), and David Fury (producer/writer/occasional cameos). Emma Caulfield (Anya) also filmed scenes, but they were accidentally taped over and never re-shot, while Tressa DiFiglia is the ex-wife of Nicholas Brendon (Xander Harris).
Trivia: Immediately after the botched convenience store robbery, Tom Green tells Jason Lee that he has an idea to make money in the form of a "scam involving pizza delivery." This is surely a joke thrown in by Tom Green because of an attempted scam/skit on the Tom Green Show called Undercutters where he followed around pizza delivery guys with his own pizza in an attempt to undercut their price. Hilarious skit by the way.
Trivia: Julia Roberts was considered for the starring role of the maid, but she read an early version of the script and declined. Sandra Bullock was reportedly interested at one point.
