Revealing mistake: When Mel Gibson is in Marisa Tomei's apartment he goes to the WC to talk with his "little friend". He just got out of her bed and he is supposed to be naked. While sitting on the toilet he is filmed from the waist up but you can clearly see on the left corner of the screen that he is wearing a dark piece of underwear.
Revealing mistake: When Jean Reno and Vincent Cassel approach the hanging body of Jean-Pierre Cassel in the doctor's house, the hooded killer can be seen standing to the left of the screen. [Not visible on the VHS version, but on the widescreen DVD].
Revealing mistake: Throughout the entire film, whenever a character performs a high flying martial arts move, you can see that they are holding on to their wires.
Revealing mistake: In the scene where the Klumps go to the "All you can eat" restaurant, Sherman sits at the corner of the table next to his father. When he sits he puts his hands on the table. His father does the same, but because the actor is edited into the scene the fathers hand goes through Sherman's hand. Both hands are on the same place on the table, and you can see through them. Revealing mistake: In one of Renato's fantasies about Malena she comes into his dark bedroom. The light is falling into the room from the hallway, but when she walks through the room she casts a second shadow created by a stage light. (00:16:20)
Revealing mistake: When Alejandra comes to John's room the first time you see distinct t-shirt marks on John's upper body, his arms as tanned as his neck and face. This in spite of the fact that he wears long-sleeved shirts throughout the movie (except, of course, during his nightly encounters with Alejandra). (00:49:30)
Revealing mistake: When Elliot appears in the fountain, after the sensitive guy segment, water is already up his trouser legs. (00:44:50)
Revealing mistake: When the U-571's crew member starts firing the MG-34 at the survivors in the rowboat, you can see the ammo belt is all blanks.
Revealing mistake: Joseph White is having his glasses fixed by Ann. Ann asks a local passer by for some fishing line from her fishing kit. As the glasses are being fixed Joseph gets a fishing hook stuck in his finger. At first we see the hook embedded in his finger, but in the next cut we see Joseph showing the finger and hook to Ann. You can see that the line and hook are tied around his finger.
Revealing mistake: At "El Beachio," when Kevin and Perry order the two lovely ladies a drink, you can briefly see that the glasses are already nearly empty as the waiter gives them to the girls. Presumably, this was done because the girls are expected to nearly finish their drink in a couple of seconds before making a sharp exit due to the embarrassing fake phone call Candice just made. Revealing mistake: The algae in the "garden" is fake. It is cloth.
Revealing mistake: In the shot where Ben Stiller and Jenna Elfman are in the hallway kissing goodbye, it's obvious that Ben Stiller is standing on something to make him the same height as Jenna Elfman, who is much taller than him in real life.
