Factual error: In one of his first appearances, Proulx the Architect is using a modern pen on a pad of paper when taking notes.
Factual error: There's a radio broadcast in 'Men of Honour,' which has Milwaukee playing Brooklyn before Braves actually moved to Wisconsin from Boston in 1953.
Continuity mistake: In the last scene Kiefer Sutherland throws his cigarette away and turns to walk to his car but when the camera angle changes he is still smoking it, when he reaches the car he throws the same cigarette away for the second time.
Continuity mistake: During the chase scene at the end of the film, P. T. Boomer (a character cut from the film), can be seen on top of Diesel 10 during the shot where he enters a tunnel.
Continuity mistake: When Kate is eating the olives at the Christmas party it shows her with only one left. It then cuts back to Jack Campbell and when it cuts back to Kate she suddenly has two left on the toothpick.
Other mistake: When Reinaldo first meets Lezaro Lima after winning "First Honorable Mention" for the National Book contest, Lezaro tells Reinaldo he can read any five books he wants. Lezaro names titles of books he'd like Reinaldo to read. The subtitle in English on the U.S. region DVD misspells Robert Louis Stevenson, spelling his middle name "Lewis". (00:32:05)
Factual error: Towards the end of the movie when the President is addressing Congress, Joan Allen is seen outside of the building jogging. Joan Allen, being a senator and thereore a part of Congress, should have been inside the building.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Lucy sang and won the $500 competition, when they are announcing she's the winner they show a far away picture, and Lucy has the money in her hand. Then they show a close up picture, and Lucy doesn't have the money - the announcer does, and then hands it to Lucy.
Continuity mistake: When Gwen is watching the soap opera Santa Gruz, together with Eddie, in the front shots of the TV screen, you see a video cassette on the top of the TV with the heading "SONY". But, in the side shots of the TV screen, you see that the same video cassette is turned. (00:58:45 - 00:59:45)
Factual error: When Ryan and Jennifer are hanging out at their lookout spot, over the Golden Gate Bridge, they are looking at the bridge from the Marin County side. For those of you who aren't familiar with Bay Area geography, the distance between Berkeley and Marin County is about 15 or 20 miles, yet the two refer to walking back to campus a few times.
Continuity mistake: When Samuel Jackson is about to be shot by the two corrupt cops, the Vanessa Williams character comes up from behind and shoots the black one in the head and he falls down. Then, they show her talking, and the same black man's arm and partial shoulder are in the shot.
Continuity mistake: I don't think it's quite a mistake, but in almost every scene with Madonna, she has a mysterious shadow over her forehead. In full shots, no shadow, but when they cut to her close-up, there it is. It's more annoying than anything else (aside from her acting).
Continuity mistake: Towards the end of the movie, Mary Panton and Rowley Flint are in conversation. Whenever Rowley is talking, one sees a large pearl earring on Mary, but whenever she is seen answering him, she is not wearing an earring.
Continuity mistake: When Ed is taking his tie off after the meeting with the PG&E clerk, he loosens it, then they cut to Erin, then back to Ed, and his tie is back to tight around his neck, and he's taking something out of his breast pocket. Then they cut back, and his tie is off. (00:52:42)
Continuity mistake: When the crew pull the hook out of the man's hand, he puts a spoon in his mouth - its facing right, but when he's done it's facing left. (00:55:15)
Continuity mistake: When Monica gets out of her car after her first day at the bank, she stumbles over her shoes. She takes them off, talks to Q for awhile, and then heads into the house. Watch as she rounds the corner to the house (right when she gets to the hedges, watch carefully because she walks around the hedges fast) you can clearly see that she does in fact have her shoes on, without her putting them back on. She didn't even bend down like she should if she were putting them back on.
Continuity mistake: When Bill tells Selma he has no money, her hair changes from tied back, to down numerous times between cuts.
Factual error: When the audience are watching the pilot, Davy says "It's Russell!" But in the actual pilot, it's Micky who says it.
Continuity mistake: In the scene at the carnival, Ryan hands Ashley a drink that he just bought. The drink is full to the top with ice and a lemon. Before Ashley even drinks any of the drink, she walks over to a carnival ride and you can see that her cup is empty.
Continuity mistake: When "B" accidentally pulls the leg off of the dead dog, the position of it in her hands changes between cuts.
