Revealing mistake: When Claude and Ray are at the retirement home getting ready for bed, as Ray lifts up his shirt you will see where it looks like he's wearing a fat suit underneath. He can also be seen pulling it down to his waist.
Revealing mistake: When Sonny is on the payphone, you can see Julian mouthing something to the guy on the payphone behind Adam. The guy is giving him instructions.
Revealing mistake: In the scene when Ricky's father rushes to his room and punches him, Ricky is bleeding before he is hit. (01:08:00)
Revealing mistake: When Rob is in the Cafeteria eating all the coleslaw, he yells "I'm the coleslaw king of the world!" there is a girl in the background who mouths it as he is saying it. (00:50:00)
Revealing mistake: Candace's eyes are moving and she is breathing after allegedly having been shot and killed.
Revealing mistake: In the David Letterman scenes, Paul Schaeffer's head is shaved, which he just did recently (maybe within the last year to year and a half). (01:15:00)
Revealing mistake: In the swimming pool scene between Annette and Sebastian, a positioning mark can be seen quite clearly on the floor. [The swimming pool used was freezing cold, about 40 degrees, so Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon were freezing (look close and you can see Ryan shivering), and so were the camera crew, that they didn't repeat the shot, so the positioning mark was left in.] (00:28:05)
Revealing mistake: When Homer placed the rocket on his fence and lit it his friend asked "Should we get behind somethin'?" That's when the rocket explodes. When you see them fly back you don't need to slow motion it because you can clearly see the wires attached to their backs.
Revealing mistake: In the newspaper that Tom Cruise is reading, the same sentences are printed over and over.
Revealing mistake: When Ripley is leaving New York, there is the shot of the ship sailing out of the harbour. Check out the water - one layer has been 'cloned' on top of another.
Revealing mistake: During the catamaran sailing scene, the boat jibes and Brosnan leaps across the trampoline and starts grinding on an empty winch, with no line in it. (00:37:40)
Revealing mistake: At the end when Charlie Sheen is balding you see the edge of the silicone wig in the middle of his forehead. (01:41:05)
Revealing mistake: When the Interceptor team flies in their cargo plane to Mexico to investigate the UFO crash, several shots filmed from the front show the six of them all in the cockpit (not in the body of the plane.) They're seated as they might be in a car, three across, front and back. The window of the cockpit looks remarkably similar to a station wagon windshield, down to the large rectangular front windshield, and even the rear view mirror is in place.
Revealing mistake: When Plunkett and Macleane emerge from prison they walk through a gap between a woman cooking and a circle of people around some men fighting, Macleane first, followed by Plunkett. As Plunkett passes through the gap he kicks a basket over and a blue gas cylinder with an orange pipe rolls out from underneath.
Revealing mistake: When Claire jumps down into the silo filled with apples, the whole top layer of apples bounces, which indicates that there is only a thin layer of apples instead of apples all of the way down. Soft material would have been under the apples during filming. Rotting apples wouldn't have that sort of give normally.
Revealing mistake: When the man accidentally coats his hand in breading and cooks it in the boiling oil, you can tell his hand has not been damaged at all. The breading on the outside is just a little cooked, but his skin underneath seems perfect.
Revealing mistake: The same extras can be seen in several different crowd scenes. Specifically, the same people can be seen in the crowd that storms the computer fair and in the auditorium when Steve Jobs makes his final speech.
Revealing mistake: When the prostitute changes into the girl who haunts Nicolas Cage, the film jumps as the camera passes by the pillar in the ambulance.
Revealing mistake: When they find the paper map sticking out the Iraqi soldier's bottom it is neatly rolled up and straight. One should imagine it being quite crumpled after having spent some time in this particular hiding place. (00:08:00)
Revealing mistake: In the scene where Rocco kills the two 'goodfellas' in the restaurant, he hides his gun by holding the gun behind his coat. Before the shot switches, you see the gun go off, yet the hammer is down the entire time. The revolver could have been single or double action, but the hammer would still have to have gone back. It is easier to see the gun go off on the NC-17 version or on the deleted scene, but you do see the flash on the R version.
