Continuity mistake: Right after the debate in the House of Commons, Robert talks to Gertrude in the hall way. Behind them is a statue head. Several shots later that statue head magically moves to the opposite wall where Arthur "talks" to it.
Factual error: When Ben and Sarah are on top of the train, they shout and it echoes, but there are no flat surfaces for their voices to reverberate off of.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Jakob discovers Mischa sabotaging the cattle cars and tells him the first news from the radio, Mischa is struck by a guard and knocked off the train, rolling to the ground. He is then bare-headed, but when Jakob runs up to him, Mischa's cap appears on his head.
Plot hole: Mrs. Tingle was tied to bed for longer time, fed by her students, but what about going to toilet within this period?
Continuity mistake: In the new version with Steve Martin and Goldie Hawn, after they get into the cab that some robbers were using as a get-away car, they beg to be let out at a corner and as they basically jump out of the car nobody is left behind to shut the door, yet it shuts like someone slams it shut.
Continuity mistake: At the cheer-leading practice, the coach reminds the girls they need to pick their uniforms for the big game. Yet, when Meagan is on the way to True Directions and she passes the bus with the cheerleaders on it, they are wearing the same uniforms they wore to practice that day.
Other mistake: When Zach is watching Laney at the show, there are two shots where Laney, Mitch and the little people say, "Be silent, be still". In the first, Mitch's legs are far apart and on the ground, and in the second shot his legs are very close together, with no time to move. (00:22:35)
Continuity mistake: Near the end, when Betsy and Arlene are cutting the stars out of the American flag, one shot is a close up of their hands - they have almost finished when the camera cuts to a wider shot as they question the legality of the activity. When they resume cutting their scissors are further back then they were in the close up ie. they are cutting where they have supposedly already cut.
Continuity mistake: Sarah Michelle Gellar is preparing for a date and switching purses in her bedroom. The shots are going between her and whoever she is talking to. One of the purses disappears then magically reappears.
Continuity mistake: When singing the song about what they would do if the monster came to their room in the night, Simon puts on Alvin's duvet/blanket as a cape. It then shows an imagination sequence where the blanket is a correctly sized cape to fit him. When it returns to the real world, the 'cape' is the size of his imaginary cape, nowhere near the size of the bed.
Revealing mistake: In several scenes (e.g. in the deli & in the tunnel, at the end) the ice cubes used to cool Elvis down are obviously not real ice.
Continuity mistake: When Pépé remembers the moment when the Old Man told him how to become wealthy, the Old Man is exactly as old as when he meets Garriss decades later, shortly before he dies. (00:48:25)
Continuity mistake: When Ed and Sherry get back together, you see a few shots of Rita, Sherry's roommate, watching them on TV and she's wearing a red top. Then about two minutes later, when Ed starts the contest you see another shot of her but she's now wearing different clothes, green dungarees and a grey jacket. Then later on just before Edtv is cut off, she's wearing different clothes again. Why would she change three times in one day? (01:43:05 - 01:47:15)
Continuity mistake: When Hugh Grant is about to propose in the restaurant near the start, his girlfriend's hair keeps moving from in front of her ear to behind and back again with each change of shot.
Factual error: One of the operetta excerpts shown in the movie is the humorous song "This Helmet I Suppose," during which Princess Ida's three brothers are supposed to remove their armor piece by piece, finding it heavy, hot and awkward. Partly as a result of this, the three are soon afterwards quickly and easily defeated in combat. In the film, however, only Arac, the brother singing the verses (played by Richard Temple (played by Timothy Spall)), removes his armor. The others simply stand still. (This might have made the battle scene end differently if it was shown on screen!)
Other mistake: When Walt makes his first appearance back at the dance club after his stroke, he brings flowers for Tia, but he tells another dancer they are for Daphne, which is the name if the actress playing Tia.
Continuity mistake: In the shot where Cora and Ellen are in the car going to the beach, the blue car is a left-hand drive, as Cora is driving nearest the camera. However, in the rest of the film, it is a right-hand drive, such as in the shot returning from the beach. Cora is still nearest the camera, but they are travelling in the opposite direction. (00:45:22)
Other mistake: In the scene where Fanny Price is caught in the rain, she drops apples from her basket. When she is collecting them from the ground she puts the apples back in the basket, except sometimes she doesn't actually pick up an apple. Clearly, she only pretends to put apples back.
Continuity mistake: When Woody Harrelson and Antonio Banderas are fighting, Antonio's character is knocked down and his cornerman calls him Vince, not Cesar.
Other mistake: When Nicole is on "Wake up Time Zone" talking about Centennial her hair is almost to her shoulders. As you see her watching it in home room, it is much shorter.
