Revealing mistake: In the climax scene, Joe is climbing up the Ferris Wheel. He is huge, and weighs a ton, but his strong hands do not break a single lightbulb on the framework of the wheel.
Revealing mistake: As Ted is being burnt by the fire, you can see his body trapped underneath the debris. In a side shot of Ted it is very obviously a stunt dummy as the left arm and head stay completely still and the arm remains completely stiff despite hearing screams and shouts from the pain.
Revealing mistake: When one of the bad guys is being dragged around by the monsters and thrown against pipes and walls and such, in wide shots you can see there is no monster really pulling him, and from the stiffness and position of his body, he is likely on some sort of device to swing him around.
Revealing mistake: When Jackie falls from the helicopter, in the close-up of him falling towards the trees, you can see a wire coming from Jackie's' left; using slo-mo helps. (The use of slow motion is permitted if things such as crew or equipment are visible.)
Revealing mistake: As a homage to the original; when Norman carries Marion's dead body, wrapped in the shower curtain to the car, you can see her bra strap through the curtain.
Revealing mistake: At the beginning of the scene where the Reverend sells the guns to Mel, Bobby is walking outside and it is rainy and stormy. But once he enters the motel room there is sunlight streaming through the windows. Then, in the next scene when he is outside with Rosie, it's stormy again. (00:34:00)
Revealing mistake: When Suzi Amis is hanging from Howie Long's leg in the parachute scene, you can see that the stuntman is not holding on to his leg, but some kind of wire harness.
Revealing mistake: When Hobbes is searching for information about Milano, he types his search into the webcrawler search engine and it takes him straight to the front page of the newspaper that is reporting on the events he is searching for. With the search terms he used there is no way he would get that result. You may argue that all the boring bits of websearching were cut, but for his second search he goes back to the web search instead of the newspaper's own search to get the next year's article. Revealing mistake: The marijuana plants being grown in the film are obviously not real. The plants in the film have very plastic looking leaves with no serrated edges like real marijuana.
Revealing mistake: At the very end of the movie when Kyle Fisher is in the back yard in the wheel chair, he has stumps for legs. However, if you look at the bottom of the wheelchair just below the seat, you can see his feet behind him. It is especially obvious when the wheel chair tips over and his feet move a little.
Revealing mistake: At the end a character is killed and you see him lying on the floor, dead, but still breathing.... (01:43:00)
Revealing mistake: After shooting in the door to Meg's office, the man in the darker jacket shoots the computer then steps into the room. John jumps him and grabs his gun (his shirt is unmarked in this shot). John then shoots him at point blank range. In the closeup of the shooting, the man's shirt is already torn - and the bloodpack/charge is visible through the hole - for a few frames before the gun is fired and the special effect goes off. (00:22:23)
Revealing mistake: When Max meets Lenny in the coffee shop, there is a McDonald's logo on the cream he opens. In some shots it's visible and others it's covered by white tape.
Revealing mistake: McClaren breaks out of a building through the picture window. The glass breaks not as a normal window would, but fragments, as if it were sugar glass or similar. It's really obvious.
Revealing mistake: When the two women first enter the sheriff's station there is a dead deputy on the floor with a Beretta 92 in his right hand. There are two mistakes in this scene. First, he supposedly died firing the gun, but the hammer is decocked which has to be done manually. Second, one of the shots shows three spent cartridges on the ground. The shells have brass crimping opened on the front. Real shells have no need for a crimp because of the lead bullet. It is obvious that they fired three blanks out of the gun and used those shells in the shot.
Revealing mistake: In the scene on the freeway when the semi is sliding sideweays, if you look at the back wheels of the trailer, you can see the wheels making it track straight.
Revealing mistake: After the boat chase at the beginning, when the police officer turns the dead 'Sergi' over, you can see 'Sergi' lifting himself up with his hand on a rock before turning over. (00:04:00)
Revealing mistake: You can see the gun squib bulging out of the the police officer's right chest when he's shot. (01:31:05)
