Continuity mistake: Jason's mother is sitting on the front porch crying, telling Jason that Joshua stole some money from her job. Notice the pack of cigarettes and matches on the chair's arm, but when Jason goes to comfort her by sitting on the arm, the cigarettes are clearly gone. (00:26:13)
Continuity mistake: Throughout the entire movie, the irregularly-sized characters are constantly changing size when compared to one-another. Except for Barky (even Junior, he is awfully big for a baby) I.E. when Bastian accidentally steps on the gnomes' house, the gnomes are the height of Bastian's shoe, yet when they run out of the house, they are as tall as his leg up to his knee cap.
Visible crew/equipment: During the opening tracking shot through the newsroom of The Sun, the camera track on the ceiling can be seen.
Other mistake: This happens after the scene when Gary Busey and the woman he is helping have a chat on his boat. They walk out on the boardwalk and Gary Busey tries a flamboyant maneuver where he jumps over the railing. If you slow-mo the film or go scene-by-scene you'll find that right after he lands and before the scene cuts Gary Busey yells out in pain. Looking further into the picture, you'll see Gary Busey's legs are almost horizontal before he lands, making for a very painful impact.
Factual error: When Jack (Molloy) is at work in the call center, he uses his mobile phone to take a call. Everyone working there would be swearing at him and hitting him with big sticks because mobile phones make electronic noises in headsets, just like when your phone gets network activity and it is near a radio, stereo, speaker, etc.
Continuity mistake: During his monolog in the scene on the airplane, Briggs introduces Wayne as a private but, in the next scene when they wash up on shore Briggs addresses Wayne as lieutenant.
Continuity mistake: Despite making the jump with Eddie from one building to the next, the two goons come out of the original building they jumped away from. (00:27:00 - 00:28:20)
Revealing mistake: When Grace takes off, Beth drives around looking for her. It's raining out but in the shot in front of the car it's not raining.
Visible crew/equipment: With compliments of Koga Shuko the united gangs attack the Lee brothers, and while Jimmy and Billy defend themselves Billy goes up against a guy wearing a school uniform. Just as Billy slams a car's engine hood down onto that guy, in this shot we can see the camera, the camera operator, and a crew member under the raised car hood, at the lower left side of the screen. Continuity mistake: When Janelle and Veda are in the shop and Janelle is talking to Veda about marriage and divorce, if you look behind Janelle you'll see Sidney entering the shop. When it shows her up close you see her just walking in.
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of Chen Zen's trial there is a shot of the guards closing the courtroom doors. Then there's a wide shot of the whole courtroom and the guards can be seen in the background closing the doors again. (00:41:01)
Character mistake: In the beginning of the film, Doug Chesnick is on a plane returning to Washington. The flight attendant brings him a Bloody Mary with the Vodka in a bottle next to the drink on the tray. He drinks the drink without pouring in the Vodka.
Continuity mistake: After Meredith Johnson is "turned down", she goes storming out of her office after Tom Sanders. She leans very far over the stair rail to yell at him. In the following shots, it alternates between Meredith standing nearly straight up and leaning way over so the camera could get a cleavage shot.
Factual error: In the saloon at night, Ben Wheeler says, "I can't afford another Workers Comp claim". Workers compensation wasn't started in the United States until 1902. (00:10:25)
Continuity mistake: Mr Sullivan gives the stolen snow blower to his ex wife's husband for safe keeping, suggesting a tarp in the back of the garage. In a subsequent scene the snow blower is back in Sully's pickup for all to see.
Continuity mistake: When Officer Muldoon shakes hands with the girl his hand is on top then instantly on the bottom.
Continuity mistake: When Cane's agent gets out off the bookstore and crosses the street, the cars keeps changing all the time between shots.
Visible crew/equipment: When Vincent is washing his face in the bathroom at the diner, you can see a male crew member's face in the mirror.
Continuity mistake: When Ernest is messing with the pipe in the locker room the toilet seat in the middle stall goes from being up to down and back up again.
Visible crew/equipment: After the little girl leaves the grocery store with Dodger, the monkey, the overhead microphone can be seen above her head.
