Trivia: Charlie booked the Robbie Burns room during his honeymoon. Robert Burns was a Scottish poet and widely regarded as the national poet of Scotland. His picture can be seen on Stuart MacKenzie's Scottish Wall of Fame (bottom right corner).

Trivia: This movie marked the directorial debut of Robert De Niro.

Trivia: The initial cut of the film came in at under one hour. Original director William Lustig refused to shoot any new scenes and walked away from the production. Joel Soisson was brought in to direct several new scenes to pad the film out. Additionally, outtakes and clips from "Maniac Cop 2" were also spliced into the film to lightly pad the runtime.
