Revealing mistake: When Hardy goes to check out a victim with Christman, Christman gets in the water to flip the dead woman over and the dead girl blinks her eyes.
Revealing mistake: When David pushes the pallets onto the car, it's obvious that there is no-one inside. Similarly, when he uses the forklift to pick up the car a few shots later, we see inside the car and there is only a badly constructed dummy-type object in the back seat, and no real people. Even if they had bent down, they should still be visible. (00:09:00)
Revealing mistake: During several scenes, the street lamps are the mercury vapor type which were not used in the 1960's.
Revealing mistake: When the cab skids off the road and down the hill you can see that it never actually hits the tree - it is yanked back with about a decimeter left to go before it would hit.

Revealing mistake: During the opening credits, it is obvious that the train is just a model during the initial close up shots.
Suggested correction: There is nothing in the opening shots that betray it as a model shot. Logic alone argues against it. Why would they go to the expense of building a detailed model when there is no unusual action or angles required? Especially since many of the shots are obviously not a model. Exactly how is it obviously a model?
I agree it does look like it's a model train, but that's only because of the filming techniques that make it appear to run a little choppier like it's was a light weight model. But it's real, for example in one scene that looks like it's a model, you see a real bird flying on screen.
Revealing mistake: During the St. Patrick's Day parade, Kimble removes his coat. In the next scene, he hasn't got the coat anymore, and he HASN'T dropped it. Don't be fooled. If you look to his right in the scene just after he takes it off, you can see a man carrying a coat that is the exact same colour and design. I assume this guy is supposed to be hiding the coat from view, but you can plainly see it. The guy is wearing a green hat. Kimble had no time to give it to him before the scenes changed. (01:23:25)
Revealing mistake: During the fight in the chop shop, a man with a tire iron swings at Louis and he avoids it, leading the tire iron into a switch box. The man holding the tire iron is electrocuted, but Louis is still holding onto him with his bare hands without suffering any ill effects.
Revealing mistake: Watch closely as Phoenix is about to fight the cops near the computer kiosk: the same two people wearing white robes pass behind the officer with the hand-held computer twice. (00:25:30)
Revealing mistake: In the scene where Rick returns from the lab with the macaroons, it is obvious that the worm man is only in half of his costume. He's wearing black pants and shoes and sitting on a stool.
Revealing mistake: The soldiers on the beach were armed with M-16 rifles. The movie period was 1962, during the Cuban Missile Crisis. The M-16 and M-16A1 were not manufactured until 1964.
Suggested correction: Just watched Matinee again after reading this. I saw M1 carbines, M1919A4 and M2.50 cal machine guns and M14 rifles. There are no M16 series weapons in this movie.
