Factual error: Pierrepoint is depicted as having a London accent. In real life, however, he was from the north of England, and had a Yorkshire accent, which sounds completely different. This is proved in a BBC interview with him, dating from the 1970s.

Visible crew/equipment: When Frank and Tracy are about to surrender at the hotel and the cops start shooting, Frank yells "What the hell is going on here?" Frank then hides behind the car and you briefly can see the boom mike reflected in the car window. (00:52:20)

Continuity mistake: The part where Corky drives Victoria through LA must have been composed from two takes, one where Corky has more rouge on her cheeks and only a small streak of dirt on her cheek (from an earlier car repair), and another one with almost no make up and an oil streak that goes from her ear to her nose.

Continuity mistake: Once in the subtitles her name is written as Edna (her name is Emma).

Other mistake: When Joe Huff goes to the fight pit and jumps in, he has on fingerless gloves. However, during the fight he is barehanded and when the shot returns to Joe Huff he has the gloves on again.

Revealing mistake: When Henry is out on the balcony and Sara comes out carrying a bottle of beer, Henry is leaning with his elbows resting on a ledge. It can be seen that there is some kind of pad or cushion on there because you can see it give when he moves. When they sit the beer bottle down on there the sound effects of one touching stone or concrete can be heard. That should not be heard if the bottle touches the pad or cushion that is on there.

Continuity mistake: When Barton is talking to the film maker about writing the film the film maker has on a military uniform. As the scenes go back and forth between him and Barton the military ribbons come undone on one side and then miraculously return to normal.

Continuity mistake: There is a long sequence where the guy is talking to J. Roberts - I think its when they are at a beach house or cabin. The shots switch from him to her, in tight shots on their face. Watch him and you'll see his sideburns change lengths right before your eyes.

Continuity mistake: As William Lee types the "Report On The Assassination" in the café, letters that were visible in a previous shot disappear. (00:32:10)

Continuity mistake: In the Fish and Chip van, the guy with the pony tail says, "I'm going to fart." The next few shots have his head alternating in different positions even though there was no time for him to move.

Continuity mistake: As Harris and Trudi are driving down the freeway, while having a shootout with other drivers, Harris hits a water container on the truck next to them and water sprays across his windscreen. In the next shot (which is wider) the windscreen is completely dry and remains that way for the rest of the scene.

Revealing mistake: At the beginning of the film when a Judge is thrown out of the airplane, you can see a parachute is attached to him.

Continuity mistake: When Oliver puts the divorce papers in his jacket he puts them in his LEFT hand breast pocket. When he hands them to Charlotte he takes them out of his RIGHT hand breast pocket.

Visible crew/equipment: Toward the end of the movie Curly Sue comes back home from the orphanage. She sees the letter from Bill and begins to walk slowly to the living room - look left to the screen and you will notice something drop from above kinda looks like something silver, maybe a boom mic.

Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where Jack approaches Parry's bed, a crew member is seen on the right hand side of the shot wearing a walkie talkie. He inches out of frame in 3 or four seconds. (01:51:05)

Audio problem: Edouard wakes up Marianne after he returns to the art studio after walking out. The two walk over to a bench, then Marianne disrobes and sits down on the bench, so she can pose for him. Whilst this is happening, no further sounds can be heard in the background. Marianne then sees Liz sitting on the staircase watching her and out of nowhere, sounds coming from outside can be heard. The door to the studio would have been open the entire time as no-one is shown opening it, so the sounds coming from outside should have been heard the entire time. (02:14:42 - 02:16:14)

Continuity mistake: In the first meeting with the man with the hat, Ice puts one foot on the portable cooler, but the position of the foot on the floor changes when there's a cut. Even more obvious, when she steps in front of him, the tip of her red stilettos touch his feet, but at the cut their tips are distant, and she moves in with her right foot first, as opposed as before. (00:09:15)

Audio problem: Al (Joe Mantegna) gets knocked down by a mighty punch from his wife Carla (Linda Fiorentino), who, after lying some more, grabs the two daughters to go to her mum's. One of the daughters flashes a smile and supposedly says, "Hi Daddy!", but the line is dubbed in. (00:15:00)

Character mistake: We see in a flashback (so, early 1600s) the protagonist with his mother in Ruen, back in motherland France. She tells him she is praying to St. Joan (d'Arc; they are in front of a statue of hers). Joan d'Arc wasn't canonized until the 20th century. You could argue that in the eyes of the laymen she was already considered a saint. However, her son does not object and considers her a saint as well, doubling down on the statement even later on in Quebec when he does not have to humour his mother, and he is a Jesuit. He obviously should know better. (00:35:25)
