Continuity mistake: In the Fish and Chip van, the guy with the pony tail says, "I'm going to fart." The next few shots have his head alternating in different positions even though there was no time for him to move.
Continuity mistake: During the catapult launch for the SAM suppression mission, we can see two Shrike missiles on the right wing pylons. In the next shot, there is only one. At this point they still haven't reached the SAM site so they wouldn't need to fire one. A little later in another shot (right before they switch to active radar) we see two Shrikes again.
Continuity mistake: As Harris and Trudi are driving down the freeway, while having a shootout with other drivers, Harris hits a water container on the truck next to them and water sprays across his windscreen. In the next shot (which is wider) the windscreen is completely dry and remains that way for the rest of the scene.
Continuity mistake: When Celeste is watching her meltdown on TV, the dialogue is different from the actual live scene. Most notably, the taped version shown on the TV has Celeste saying "Lori, trust me," which is never said throughout the actual live scene.
Continuity mistake: In the final game, after halftime, Texas State goes for a fake punt. In one shot the ball is snapped to Jason Bateman who runs with it, and we see Mandylor begin running behind him. In the next shot, however, Bateman is still running, but Mandylor is going through the motions of a punt.
Continuity mistake: When Luis Cali is strapping Billy Tepper in the office, he is standing in front of the desk, while Billy is standing on the opposite side. Billy is facing him (while bending forward), so the strapping marks on Billy's back should be vertical, from head to butt, or at least diagonal. But later when the guys are cleaning the wounds, the marks are horizontal.
Suggested correction: We never see a close up of his hand or what direction it's facing. Purely speculation.
Continuity mistake: As Jessica pours cream into Henry's coffee, in one shot the level is right at the top of the cup. But in the next shot, the level has dropped.
Continuity mistake: Towards the end of the movie, when the mob appraiser has verified the medallions are authentic, he is wearing two white gloves. He then asks if he can leave. When he stands up and gathers his things, he has only one glove on. The shot cuts away. When it cuts back to him, he has two gloves on again. (01:32:50)
Continuity mistake: After Dani was "skinny dipping" in the lake she is seen on the bank watching Court swim. She is supposed to be nude, but the actress is wearing a white cloth over her breasts. Its top is visible when she kisses Court.
Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie, when Woody Allen and Bette Midler are both using the payphones Bette Midler says, "Mine was from Hans," and she's looking at her planner. In the next shot, however, she's on the phone, having already dialed Hans' number.
Continuity mistake: In the "Corn Scene" when Pepto is eating with the bums, and he tells the bum that he has a piece of corn on his face, during cuts a white plastic knife suddenly appears beside his bowl.
Continuity mistake: Towards the end of the movie, when Dr. Alex Tremor goes to see Marina Lemke, he enters her apartment and it is light outside. He stays only long enough to have a 5 minute argument with her. As he exits her building, it is very dark.
Continuity mistake: When William Forsythe finds out that Brian Bosworth is a cop,they both jump on their bikes trying to get back to the gang compound , as they race though the streets the camera keep changing back and forth between both of them ,you can see the bad guy is not wearing a bandanna, but when the camera changes the bandanna appears and disappears on his forehead about 3 or 4 times .
Continuity mistake: When Oliver puts the divorce papers in his jacket he puts them in his LEFT hand breast pocket. When he hands them to Charlotte he takes them out of his RIGHT hand breast pocket.
Continuity mistake: When Alec Baldwin finds Kim Basinger in Las Vegas, she is wearing a white dress with thin straps. One strap is continually off her shoulder - except for one shot after he has followed her into her dressing room. They shoot her back, and both straps are up. All other shots have the one strap off her shoulder.
Continuity mistake: After a passing train disturbs the Mousekewitz's home and extinguishes their candle, Papa strikes a match and lights it up. He tosses the match somewhere offscreen, but one shot later it appears right in front of his feet. (00:04:55)
Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the film, Jack is talking to soon to be murderer Edwin. He tells the caller that yuppies must be stopped, in a calm tone, later when Jack is watching the news in his penthouse, the call is played on the news and Jack's tone is hostile.
Continuity mistake: When Lena sees Julie's body in a trunk her right arm's sticking out. A shot of Lena then suddenly Julie's arm is folded over her body.
Continuity mistake: It wasn't snowing in the front of the house (e.g, when Ethan, Hallie, and Stephanie were going home; when the ambulance arrived; when anyone came in the front door), but it was snowing heavily in the rear of the house during scenes showing the Christmas tree.
