Continuity mistake: When Ford and Jazz are at the Colleen Sutton party, Jazz is asked to keep an eye on Colleen. Collen spots her and put a CD down her dress with the black end facing downwards. When Ford is taking the CD up from her dress the black end is now facing upwards. (00:43:25 - 00:45:00)
Continuity mistake: When Marty returns to 1985, he goes to his house and gets in his Toyota pick-up. Look closely behind his head when he first gets in the truck, there is no driver-side head rest. But when he picks up Jennifer, when they pull up to the stop sign the head rest is there. (01:45:00)
Continuity mistake: When Mel Gibson is getting the bullet pulled out of his backside, watch his trousers throughout the scene. First they're around his knees, then his ankles, then around his waist.
Continuity mistake: In one of the final scenes where Tom Selleck has a gunfight with Alan Rickman, the time of day during the few minutes (in movie time) the scene takes place varies from noon (full sunlight) to dusk. Just prior to the gunfight, when Selleck is getting ready to draw on Rickman and his two henchmen, there are almost no shadows and there is bright sunlight indicating it is in the middle of the day. Just after the gunfight there are now long shadows on the characters and moments later the camera pans across the hills and the sun is setting.
Suggested correction: Shadows exist before and after try to watch it again.
Continuity mistake: When Kevin Costner gets hit on the head by the top frame of the door, he is knocked out unconscious. Yet, when he gets back up after regaining consciousness, the blood from is head had been running down his nose. Don't you think that as he was lying down in a horizontal position, the blood would run down over the eyes towards the ears?
Continuity mistake: When the delegates assemble in the Great Hall, it is first shown that Canada is sitting to the left of Morocco. But shortly afterwards, Morocco is suddenly sitting to the left of Iceland, and Canada has mysteriously vanished.
Continuity mistake: Near the end of the film, when the SEALs are in the inflatable boats heading towards the coast of Beirut, there is a shot from behind showing all the SEALs wearing black diving suits. But when the shot changes to a close up of their faces, you can see they are wearing camouflage fatigues, not diving suits.
Continuity mistake: The telephone on Scrooge's desk briefly disappears after his maid delivers an invitation to the archaeological society ball. (00:19:05)
Continuity mistake: As Harrigan is walking away from King Willie in the alley, Willie turns toward him to say, "Prepare yourself." His face is well-lit. In the next shot, Willie is facing away in the background and his head is entirely in shadow. He's turned and lit again for his next line. (00:47:00)
Continuity mistake: A few minutes before Quaid kills his "wife", there's a shot of her with bright pink lipstick. Immediately before he shoots her, her lipstick is burgundy. (01:03:10)
Continuity mistake: When Troy and Rowsdower are standing and looking up at the Lost City that flies up and leaves the planet it is dark. But a few seconds later, while they are still looking upwards towards the city, it is full daylight.
Continuity mistake: When Ramius is shot, he drops to the floor holding his wound with his left hand. He is still using his left hand when Ryan asks "What happens if he makes it to that ignition circuitry". The angle then changes, and Ramius is holding his wound with his right hand as he answers "He can incinerate the ship". New angle change, and Ramius is once again using his left hand on the wound. Continuity mistake: When Ralph is running from the hunters at the end and he finds the pig's head on the stick, he stops with his arms spread out a bit. In the next shot, even though you only see his head and shoulders, you can tell that his arms are now straight at his sides.
Continuity mistake: When Bastian and Atreyu are sitting by the fireplace you see Atreyu put his arrow to the ground. When it cuts to a closeup he has the arrow in his hand again. (00:36:15)
Continuity mistake: In beginning of the dvd there is a scene where the farmer meets the sheriff and the farmer has a shotgun. When the farmer has the gun, it has hammers; when the sheriff has the shotgun, it does not have hammers. (00:05:05)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where the crooked sheriff is about to throw Kiefer Sutherland off the train, the sheriff doesn't have any blood on his trouser leg, but if you check the shot right before then, he does have blood on his trouser leg.
Continuity mistake: Sailor Ripley and Bobby Peru are robbing the Feed Store in Texas. Bobby says "Say cheese" shooting one of the two men. We can see that his right hand is blown off. Cut to a shot of the two men searching for the hand and the victim has a bloody left stump. Then the store dog runs out with a right hand in its mouth.
Continuity mistake: After Fritz and Clara arrive home in the beginning, the camera pans up to reveal the family cat, Pavlova, staring out the window. She is three panes over on the window, but is looking out the left side pane. When it cuts to a view from inside the room, her head is suddenly looking out the right side of the window pane. Continuity mistake: When Gatou Vardebedian is holding Gus Cardinale at gunpoint, the gun keeps changing position between shots (under his throat, by his nose...) and she is holding it straight or turned sideways. (00:13:00)
Continuity mistake: A helicopter drops two harnesses down to Chuck Norris (Major McCoy) who is awaiting with an unconscious bad guy, and tethers the villain to the ropes dropped by the hovering copter. The black harness ropes are shown dangling from the chopper throughout. When McCoy radios to "pull us up" with the villain in view, the once visible ropes are nowhere to be seen. (01:41:40 - 01:42:05)
