Trivia: John Cleese's character name, Archie Leach, was Cary Grant's real name (Archibald Leach). John named his character himself as a tribute because they were born in towns near to each other.
Trivia: When Corey Feldman is banging the dent out of the hood of the Cadillac, he says not to worry about waking his parents as they are vampires. Feldman's movie before this one was Lost Boys where he was a vampire killer.

Trivia: When the Regulators are making their escape out of the house at the end, if you look at the extra shot right after Charlie (Casey Sizemaszko) busts out of the house, you'll see a young Tom Cruise. He was on-set visiting with friend Emilio Estevez and got into makeup (including huge sideburns) and on-screen.
Trivia: During the filming of the movie, Kane Hodder (the actor who plays Jason) was returning to his trailer one night after filming, still in his Jason costume. His trailer was approximately one mile down a dark, dirt back-road. Exhausted from filming, Kane decided to take a shortcut through the woods surrounding the area. While in the woods, he encountered a local resident, who asked Kane if he was filming the new Friday movie. Thinking it a rather foolish question, given that he was still in his Jason costume, mask and all, Kane did not answer. After the young man tried to communicate with him several more times, Kane remained staring and silent, until he lunged for the man and groaned, sending the man in an absolute panic. He was so terrified that he fell several times and struggled to his feet, screaming as he ran away. The next morning, Kane Hodder was informed that the Sheriff would be by the set later in the day for questioning, but the Sheriff never came. Definitely a hilarious, if not terrifying joke.
Trivia: Peshwar, Pakistan, actually was the site of many refugee camps and Afghan rebel support, and American intelligence operated out of nearby Islamabad, and the muhajadeen operated principally in the supposed "50 miles over the border." Especially considering the movie was filmed in Israel, the geographical shots are also pretty accurate, with only one problem: when Rambo says "across the valley is the border," across a plain with mountains in the distance, they are supposed to be escaping into Pakistan. There is only one spot where they could be, and it's right in the middle of the Khyber Pass, inaccessible to Russian tanks and armoured vehicles. The Russians would be riding on donkeys, not tanks. The only such place near the Afghan border that such a battle could take place would have Rambo and Trautman escaping into Iran.
Trivia: All of Dennis Farina's scenes were shot in Las Vegas; he was there filming his TV series Crime Story at the same time.
Trivia: When Roman is proposing his investment deal to Chet there's "instant wood fire starter" on the mantle behind Chet. The scene before this, where they had the blowout, Chet was trying and failing to make a fire using wrinkled up newspaper.
Trivia: All the original main cast members were in this movie except Susan Olsen ("Cindy"). Jennifer Runyon took her place. Two possible reasons that Susan/Cindy didn't participate: filming conflicted with her honeymoon to Jamaica and she was offered less money than the other cast members.
Suggested correction: According to all sources, it was just the first answer (the honeymoon reason). No confirmation anywhere about being paid less.
You should do some actual research before correcting people so you know what you're talking about. Olsen herself said in a 1993 interview about why she wasn't in the movie. "It came down to money and bad politics. I was asking for way less than the two other girls wanted, but they still wouldn't give it to me." Plumb and McCormick even tried to get Olsen paid a fair amount, but the show's creators wouldn't budge and started a look for a look-alike.
Yeah, right... it is never about the money.
Trivia: The hot tub used in the love scene was constructed of untreated wood and the water wasn't chlorinated. Michelle Pfeiffer, her double, and Mel Gibson suffered splinters and rashes during filming. Michelle lost time off the set as she recovered from her rash.
Trivia: When Schwarzenegger and Belushi are in the diner after shooting the transvestite, Belushi is going through the paperwork that needs to be done. The one sheet which is shown Belushi says is an "accident report". Actually typed at the top of the paper is "Worthless Document Case Report". (01:09:40)
Trivia: Director Tom Holland was asked to direct this movie following his success with the first movie. Actors Chris Sarandon, Amanda Bearse and Stephen Geoffrey's were all offered to reprise their character's roles. All four had turned them down. Tom and Chris were both working together on the movie Child's Play. Amanda didn't like the material and was busy appearing in the TV show Married...With Children. Stephen was offered the choice to be in this movie or 976-Evil. Stephen, like Amanda, didn't like the material and hated the script and chose the latter movie. Only William Ragsdale and Roddy McDowall appeared in this movie as their original characters.
Trivia: At the time Jean-Claude Van Damne was merely a well known kickboxer in Europe but was anxious to break into Hollywood. When spotting producer producer Menahem Golan coming out of a restaurant one evening, he spied his chance. He began with the standard, tried and tested basic method of introducing himself, but then departed from the norm somewhat and added his own flourish by doing a 360 degree spinning kick that only just missed Golan's head. Non conventional, yes, but effective, as Golan swiftly signed him up.
Trivia: The film is based on the real-life events of the 1919 Black Sox scandal, in which members of the Chicago White Sox were charged with "throwing" the World Series (i.e. losing on purpose). Even though many people believe he wasn't involved, "Shoeless" Joe Jackson was banned from baseball and hasn't been inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame because of that.
Trivia: This is in the version which was released first - the non-director's-cut version. As the end credits roll, we see clips from the film. Just at the end of the credits, we see a shot of Elena when she is grown up and a shot of Salvatore standing in the bar with the bright green walls. Both of these clips come from scenes which were completely cut from this version of the movie.
