Corrected entry: When Bond fires a flare on the ground in through the side door of the helicopter, it crashes into an icy wall and explodes. However, in the next shot, the explosion is over top of the open water.
Corrected entry: Right before Jones fights the gang members in Bruce Lee style he jumps over a fence and while jumping his hat falls. When he lands his hat falls again.
Correction: The hat actually is still falling after Jones has landed, so it's has not finished falling.
Corrected entry: When Richard Chance (William Petersen) is shot at the end, run it in slow motion and you can see the blood comes from off camera. The same cheap effect was also used when his partner gets killed in the beginning.
Correction: The rules of the site are clear.if you need to use slow motion to see it, it's not a mistake.
Corrected entry: In the beginning, when Daryl is picked up by the elderly couple, he is wearing a black jacket with a white shirt with stripes. The next scene shows him wearing a brown hat and coat, blue jeans and a plaid shirt.
Correction: We have no way of knowing how many days occured between shots. For all we know the next scene mentioned in the mistake could have taken place the next day. If that's the case it is common for people to change their clothes the following day. No mistake here.
Corrected entry: The whole story is about 4 high school youths graduating and making a last drive to dig up a bottle of "Dom" before they move on in life or either get drafted to the newly developing Vietnam war. It is set in the late 1960's, with Kevin Costner (one of his first movies) and Judd Nelson. The credits open to the song "Saturday Night Alrights for Fight'n" by Elton John which plays on the radio in the film. This song didn't come out until 1973, almost when the war was over.
Correction: First, the story is about 4 college students. Second, the film takes place in 1974 - as the headstone indicates in the graveyard seen.
Corrected entry: Monty Brewster needs to spend $30 million dollars in a months time and have nothing to show for it at the end. One of the stipulations is that he cannot destroy anything of value. There is a scene where he buys a valuable postage stamp that was printed upside down and then, so that he doesn't own it at the end of the month, mails a letter with the stamp on it. This would cause the stamp to no longer retain its value as there would be a postage mark on the stamp.
Correction: But he doesn't DESTROY it. It still exists. Moreover, he actually uses it for its intended purpose.
Correction: Postage stamps are valuable used too.
Except he doesn't own it since he used it for its intended purpose and now it's not in his possession. But, he didn't gave it away as a gift.
Corrected entry: When Lloyd jumps out of the window, he falls into the pool, seemingly without going down the slide, but the pool is too far away from the building to reach it without the slide.
Correction: The slide is a few inches below the window. He only made it look like he jumped out the window to throw a scare to the others but when they look out the window you can just see him entering the pool from the bottom of the water slide.
Corrected entry: At the end when Nicolas is trying to shut the evil book of spells, the words disappear and all the pages become blank.
Correction: It's a magic book, therefore it's likely that the evil spirit made the words disappear. It could also be a subtle hint that the spirit is growing weaker- the evil spells are composed by evil, and Nicholas' change of heart may have cancelled them out.
Corrected entry: Jack Deth is in the past and driving a vintage car. Although he is driving in a straight line as he talks to the girl, he is swinging the wheel wildly from side to side.
Correction: Vintage cars often had a lot of play in the suspension which causes a person to make frequent corrections to keep it in a straight line. I had a 1965 car, with manual steering, that had a lot of side to side movement to keep it in line. Higher speeds meant more movements to keep it straight. This was in a car with a good, aligned front end, in a poorly aligned car, the movement is even more exaggerated.
Corrected entry: In the scene where Rob Lowe takes his wife into the bar, the bow in the scarf tied round her head is on one side of her head in one shot and on the other side in the next shot.
Correction: Billy (Rob Lowe) never takes his wife to the bar. She brings a date to the bar (Whip Hubley), while he is performing with his band. Her black headband is knotted on her left side of her hair, and remains that way throughout the bar scene and during the fight scene outside the bar.
Corrected entry: China was still under Communist rule in 1985. How could Chan have sworn on the Bible in the court hearing?
Correction: The story takes place in Hong Kong which was still under British rule in 1985.
Corrected entry: In one of the first practices that Sarah Jessica Parker and her dance partner have in the dance studio he is wearing a red shirt. When the camera angle changes he is wearing a purple shirt.
Correction: He is wearing a different shirt because it is supposed to be a new day. The whole scene showing them practicing is happening over a period of a few weeks, that is why the shirt differs.
Corrected entry: At the end of the movie, the script on the screen says that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle did not specify when Holmes and Watson met. That is not true. They met for the first time in "A Study in Scarlet."
Correction: The script at the end was added to keep with the theme of the movie. The movie was based on the premise of what would have happened if Holmes and Watson meet each other when they were teenagers. The script just helps show that this is not an "official" Arthur Conan Doyle story.
Corrected entry: When Barstow gives the signal maintainer at Jordan orders to derail the runaway train, there is a shot of him crossing the track to get to the manual switch. In this shot the camera is standing on the track looking the way the train is going. Look behind the signal maintainer further down the track. There is a lot of freight cars parked on the same track.
Correction: The first track that the maintainer crosses, with the freight cars on it, is a siding. The second one he crosses, with the switch beside it, is the main track for the runaway. Finally, there's a third track diverging from the main one curving away to the left. This is the siding the runaway was nearly switched to, and thus the freight cars are not in the train's path.
Corrected entry: In the scene where the "bullifighter" challenges Calamity Jane, there is a quick close-up of a spinning wheel whose rim different than those on Jane's car.
Correction: This is about Death Race 2000. Wrong movie.
Corrected entry: On the DVD bonus material listing Chevy Chases film highlights, it lists the movie 'Fletch 3' as having come out in 1998. This movie was never made.
Correction: This is a mistake with the DVD and not a mistake within the film itself.
Corrected entry: In the scene where John Candy's next door neighbor invites him over for lemonade and ends up showing him her new boobs, when he goes over to her place he is only using one crutch. A few seconds later, we see him returning to his place using both crutches.
Correction: No. When he goes over to her place he IS using two crutches, but both crutches are under his left arm. Insted of one being under each arm.
Correction: It's the same explosion; you just can't see the water in the first close-up shot of the helicopter hitting the ice wall.
