Continuity mistake: In the bullfighting scene Herbie's driver-side running board is dented upward in the middle, but in the following scene it isn't there.
Continuity mistake: Popeye goes to Bluto's ship. He finds his pappy there: he's tied to the chair hanging in the ceiling. Popeye gets excited, and notice that before he hugs his pappy he takes his pipe out of his mouth. When we see Popeye again, the pipe is back to his mouth. Too fast to be real.
Continuity mistake: When François starts talking to Coco in the cafe, the donut on her plate and items on the bar next to her keep moving between shots.
Other mistake: Near the end of the movie, Dave Speed jumps onto Torpedo's private plane and starts steering it to the ground. The plane is white with obvious red stripes. However, Dave Speed is supposed to lose his super powers when he sees red.
Continuity mistake: At the end, the buried biker digs himself out of his grave and shuffles to the smokehouse. When he attacks Farmer Vincent, all the soil and mud stains have vanished from his clothing. Guess he must have stopped off at Zombies-R-Us for some fresh new duds. (01:30:00)
Continuity mistake: When Garland (Slim Pickens) finds out about the affair between Buck (Willie Nelson) and his daughter Lilly (Amy Irving). He takes a cab to the beach where Buck is hiding out. When Garland steps out of the cab, the bottle of tequila his is holding has just a little tequila in it. In the next scene when he is paying the driver the bottle is half full, and the next scene the bottle is almost completely full.
Factual error: In the ambush-on-the-prison scene, one of the Boers is equipped with a Lee-Enfield CLLE Charger-Loading Rifle. Although the Boers used many captured Lee-Enfield and Lee-Metford rifles, the CLLE's weren't even developed until the Boer War had ended.
Revealing mistake: The cannibals kill Faye, and then decapitate her. Then one of the natives lifts her head up, only to let the wig slide off of the fake head, and reveal a yellow foam head underneath.
Continuity mistake: When Julian Kay is tearing apart his Mercedes to look for the stolen jewels, he is seen pulling some plastic off the driver's door, in the next shot, you can still see the plastic attached to the car door.
Audio problem: When the Kelvin sacrifice themselves in front of the Sonic Tank, Cowboy walks off and says, "C'mon, lets go", but his lips don't match what he says.
Factual error: It is established early in the movie (Natalie's call) that the money ball event celebration is part of the -first - anniversary of the Valley River Center, the shopping mall where most of the movie is set, with the town of Eugene, Oregon, mentioned explicitly. However, the center opened in 1969, and the movie is set in 1980. The original script was written in 1971, so that line needed an update and slipped by.
Continuity mistake: In the bus scene at the beginning, the little girl with braces (played by a nonspeaking extra) is seen at the front of the bus, on one side of the fight. Then she is seen near the middle of the bus, on the other side of the fight.
Visible crew/equipment: When John is playing the piano, after the door opens by itself in the music room, there is a shot that revolves around him. If you look in the large mirror in front of the piano you can see the pole of the boom microphone reflected (behind the chandelier). (00:19:21)

Visible crew/equipment: When the main character and his family are first seen making their way to the train, the rightmost one in a row of three eerie blonde pageboy-haired children keeps looking into the camera. Generally, throughout the movie, there are plenty of instances of child actors looking into the camera, mainly young Malcolm (Lorenzo Aiello). (00:05:15)
