Factual error: During the car chase scene with the Mustang, the driver of the Mustang repeatedly shifts his automatic transmission from "drive" to L1. Also, one shot during the chase shows that driver's feet using a clutch to shift his automatic.
Continuity mistake: In the scene in which they discuss Sylvia smoking, the paper on the table is different between shots. In the shots of Sylvia there is some paper near the can on the left. In the shots of Sal, the paper is not there. (01:03:00)

Continuity mistake: When Doyle arrives at the dock at the beginning of the movie, we see Doyle from behind. A boy with a yellow shirt and a girl with a flower dress pass him on his right side. However, there is a change of shot, and now we see him from the front, and behind him we see the boy and the girl, but instead of being at his right side, they're at his left.
Continuity mistake: At the very beginning when they are all getting into the yellow Ford car an outside of car camera cut from the front of the car to the side shows the lady's arm firstly inside, then rested on the door.
Continuity mistake: Jonathan explains how to deal with a biker, demonstrating on Blue who's sat on his bike close to the rail. Yet when he's talking to the new guy (Toughie)Blues bike is in the middle of the track and when Toughie comes around the track to attack Jonathan it is back in its original position.
Factual error: The 14th of February 1900 was a Wednesday, not a Saturday.
Continuity mistake: When Roger throws one of the motor bikes off the RV during the chase sequence towards the end of the film, we see a driver's view from the white truck and you can see a piece of debris going into the grass when the bike crashes onto the road. In the next shot, the same piece of debris is now next to the bike when the white truck drives into it.
Other mistake: Bobby, Clovis and Celia Bradley find a large gold nugget in a mine. An assayer says gold is worth $15 an ounce and values the nugget at $87,425. That would mean it weighs 364 pounds, more than double the weight of the record-setting 173-pound gold nugget found in 1869 in Moliagul, Australia.
Continuity mistake: When John Deakin discovers the Reverend's body in the coffin, the Reverend's eyes are closed in one shot and open in the next.

Continuity mistake: When Chaney walks up to the stranger at the diner's, Jill Ireland 's pose as well as the bartender's change entirely at the cut where Bronson is moving along the counter. (00:15:00)
