Continuity mistake: When Dr. Frankenstein introduces himself to the monster with a soothing "Hello, there", his right hand is on the restraint over the monster's chest. The next shot shows the doctor placing his hand on the restraint again.
Continuity mistake: When Mongo enters Rock Ridge on the steer, the cuff on the chain around his neck instantly switches from open end facing left to facing right in the next cut.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Thunderbolt and Lightfoot are in the car with the crazy driver. The car goes over the embankment and as it flips you can see a wheel break off. A short time later they both drive off in the same car, with the wheel attached again.
Factual error: Just before Walther Matthau meets Susan Sarandon for the first time in her dressing room in the movie theater, he passes a poster for "All Quiet On the Western Front" in the hall. "All Quiet On the Western Front" wasn't made until 1930 and this film is supposed to take place in 1928.
Continuity mistake: When Barbara Windsor is getting undressed to prove that she is not a man, there is a red garment which is crumpled up on the bed behind her. When she finishes undressing the red garment is spread fully across the bed.
Factual error: One of the main characters has a Harley Davidson. The movie is supposed to take place in the fifties. The Harley had an electric start primary cover which wasn't made by Harley until 1965.
Revealing mistake: When Crewe dumps the car in the river, you can see the wire attached to it that was used to pull it out of the water. Burt Reynolds mentions it on the DVD commentary.
Factual error: In the scene right after pinback shoots the beach-ball alien, we see the Dark Star space craft cruising past a planet with a sun in the background. You can see a reflection on the planet which is coming from the space craft. I'm sorry, but usually ships in space are not large enough to reflect off a planet, especially to the degree this one does. (00:48:20)
Continuity mistake: When Nicole takes Whitfield for his first ride in Herbie, the car rears up onto its back wheels. But in the very next shot of Whitfield's startled reaction, the rear-screen projection of the street behind them is footage taken from a level view, not an elevated one. (00:15:50)
Continuity mistake: During the battle at the convent, one of the Cardinal's guards takes aim with his matchlock musket, is shot by Portos, and falls - along with his gun - into a hay wagon. But if you watch the falling scene closely, it is evident that only the man ends up in the hay; the gun should have fallen some place to the left of the wagon.
Continuity mistake: When Eve is making a special treat and it starts on fire. She sprays a fire extinguisher onto it. It shows foam covering only one side of the food. Then, it shows the food again a few seconds later and it is completely covered. (01:01:50)
Continuity mistake: When evil Swan hands the contract to the Swan who's about to kill himself, Swan grabs the contract out of E.S hands, yet in the next shot, E.S is still holding it.
Visible crew/equipment: When Tim and Sid call at Jacqui's house, the camera lights are reflected in the front windows.
Visible crew/equipment: When Julie is following Celine up the crowded market street, in the shot where she rotates her body 90° to nudge past three bystanders, the shadow of the camera can be seen cast on Julie's legs. (00:08:00)
Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, Irwin Ingham's big scarf is wrapped around his neck in ever-changing fashion as it can be spotted looking at the striped area being at different height each time. (00:03:40)
Other mistake: The Amazon's queen says she pierced Dharma's chest with her spear/lance but he's shown dying from a side wound.
Continuity mistake: Nini's mother fishes the telephone out of the bathtub. A naked little boy prances around the room and Christian De Sica is in a quite recognizable position, leg up scrubbing the sole of his foot. Cut, and De Sica is now simply sitting in the tub as if nothing happened. (00:22:00)
