Revealing mistake: When the Grand Ville turns onto the street where the children are playing, it clips a parked car as it makes the turn. This is the same car that later gets its driver's door ripped off by the Grand Ville just before the police give chase. It was repainted red for the second scene, but note the same dent in the right fender as before.
Revealing mistake: When Han is killed by Bruce Lee, and the door is spinning, you can see the belt that holds Han to the door.
Revealing mistake: When the bad sheriff tries to run Buford Pusser over, he drives off the road and the car explodes for no reason. It's in the air when it explodes, there's no way it could have exploded without hitting the ground.
Revealing mistake: When Maturette dies at the end he cannot close his left eye all the way because of the totally noticeable fake contact lens he is wearing.
Revealing mistake: A metal ramp is visible on the front bumper of the 1972 Ford Galaxie sedan when it rams the motorcycle head on.

Revealing mistake: The sliding door to the bedroom in Simonson's apartment appears to be covered with a sheet of 'bubble wrap' in early scenes of the room.
Revealing mistake: Right at the end when John is dying look at the texture of his blood. It is way too thin, almost like coloured water.
Revealing mistake: When Eastwood shoots off a portion of the bad guys ear, the resulting portion of the ear is very fake looking.
Revealing mistake: At one point John is complaining about the Beach Boys playing on his car radio, he reaches to the center console and motions turning the radio off. In a few other shots though, we see that the car appears to have no radio at all, the center console seems to have a large tachometer and speedometer there, but that's all.
Revealing mistake: When the Jackal is shot at the end of the film, he's thrown back against the wall of the room which moves, revealing it to be a wooden set. Additionally, the hole in the wall with the stunt cable can be seen in slow motion.
Revealing mistake: In the final scene where Cigarette gets thrown off the train you can see the stunt double stepping off a box before jumping out of the rail car. (01:58:35)

Revealing mistake: When The Kid sits next to Dillon at the Bruins game, there are two older women in the background looking directly at the camera and pointing at it, having just noticed that they are being filmed. (01:33:10)
Revealing mistake: At the beginning of the movie, the coked-up sailor is shooting from a rooftop and screaming various racial slurs. Despite that, there's a big crowd building. When he shouts "Come and get me, honkies!" you can see people running way before he pulls out of the gun again and shoots. Not only that; some of the extras are just enjoying themselves and not keeping a straight face, far from being scared. (00:01:00)
Revealing mistake: Richard Roundtree is quite literally butt naked during his stick fight in the Emir's stable towards the beginning of the movie, except in one shot where the person in frame is wearing blue sweatpants. (00:12:50)
