Continuity mistake: In the early part when Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper are getting their choppers ready, the film clip was reversed. You can tell because the American flag on Fonda's jacket has the stars on the right shoulder, not the left like the rest of the movie. (00:06:10)
Continuity mistake: It is 1940. Two pilots come out of a house - one of them has just lost his wife and family in the London Blitz, the other is an RAF Squadron Leader. The door they come out of has a modern electric bell push - a post 1965 version, white rectangular box with a round button.
Continuity mistake: In the bicycle riding scene where Butch lets Etta ride on the handlebars, you can see her feet are resting on some sort of pegs protruding from the axle on each side of the bicycle wheel. When she is not riding, the pegs are not there.
Continuity mistake: Sykes is shot in the right leg, in the thigh area, by the bounty hunters. We see the blood clearly on it when he sits on a rock and holds his leg. Later, when he returns to Aquaverde where he meets Robert Ryan, we see as he sits on his horse that his left leg is bandaged.
Continuity mistake: At the dinner scene when Mattie Ross is trying to obtain Rooster Cogburn's services, Rooster clears the table, and in the next scene he re-clears the table by pushing everything aside to play cards with Chin Lee.
Continuity mistake: Frankenstein buys a sprig of freesias as a buttonhole: two yellow flowers and a purple. The sprig immediately changes into two purple flowers and a yellow. When Frankenstein meets Mrs Brandt and they go into the drawing room, the flowers are two purples and a red with yellow centre. Once in the cellar to see Mr Brandt, the red goes, and a yellow is back with two purples. (00:57:45 - 01:03:55)
Continuity mistake: In the restaurant kitchen scene, Carol Sanders takes hold of the waiter's left hand. In the next shot, she is holding his right hand.
Continuity mistake: After crashing, the pilot jumps from his burning plane with the back of his jacket on fire. The flames are extinguished but after a short dialogue, the pilot is seen walking from the scene from behind with not even a scorch mark on his jacket.
Continuity mistake: On board ship in the captain's cabin, he is lying on a bunk. A shot from behind him, through a window shows his shirt or pyjamas to be undone showing bare chest, then the shot changes to in front of him and and the shirt/pyjamas are done up, showing no chest. We see this several times.
Continuity mistake: A party that is in full swing when Miss Brodie enters another room for her final confontation with Sandy has dispersed when she leaves only a few minutes later.
Continuity mistake: When Joe is walking in NY for the first time, his hat goes from being pushed on the back of his head to on top several times.
Continuity mistake: In this scene we see the General briefing his men. A map is spread out over the bonnet of a jeep. While he is studying the map and planning the next move a steaming hot cup of something is given to the General and is placed on the map for him. The General then takes it in his right hand and is about to drink it when someone speaks to him. The General replies to him and in the next wide angle shot there is no cup in his hand nor is it anywhere else.
Continuity mistake: The Russian spaceship approaches the stranded 'Ironman 1' capsule, and as it moves across and fills the screen, it blocks the bright sun directly behind it. The following shot shows it moving away from that position and the sun is now nowhere to be seen.
Continuity mistake: When Charlie Brown is doing the dog food for Snoopy, the amount of food in Snoopy's dish changes between the kitchen and the dog house.
Continuity mistake: When he is blackmailed in the car at knife-point, in one shot, the steering wheel is a white Mercedes steering wheel with logo. In all the rest of the scenes it is a black American car steering wheel. (00:05:02)
Continuity mistake: When Anita Delon smells the special perfume her brother-in-law had made for Martha, Susan Strasberg's hair is on/off the side of her neck in the different shots. (00:28:20)
Continuity mistake: In the football game, Brian Glover (Mr Sugden) selects Paget. The other captain selects 'Speed' as his first choice. A few minutes later Speed is berated for failing to pick up a pass from Sugden. Has he changed sides? The best player on the field, who scores Spurs' second goal, is selected almost last. Continuity mistake: When Carl lets his dog out of the bag, in the close-up there's a shadow on Rod Steiger's boot, and a shadow of something or someone standing between him and the camera: both are gone in the following shot, when the dog runs across the lawn (and 'knocks aside' the camera). Continuity mistake: Mary is riding her bike towards the warehouse. She stops when she sees Tony being driven off in Stella's mini moke. While she watches them drive away, her position changes between shots from sitting in the saddle to standing next to the bike.
Continuity mistake: At the movie party, a person pushed the waiter, squishing all the blood-colored tarts on the photos. The waiter is pressing the tray in a different position at the cut. (00:07:30)
