Other mistake: In the Todd-OA version, just before the song "Oklahoma." Gordon MacCrae puts his hand on the porch post and the post moves off the rail. He then pulls it back.
Other mistake: The catapult on the battlements Jean uses to evict the castle guards is rather curious. First, there is neither a bow nor any torsion to 'power' the weapon, and secondly it just seems to cock itself, right after each shot. All that Jean does is pull the lever and none of her diminutive helpers stand by for any cocking work whenever the catapult arm is shown.
Other mistake: At the beginning of the movie at the police station and the next morning at breakfast, it at least appears to be established that Grandma lives with Jim and his parents. After all, they had just moved from another city and Grandma was there early in the morning at breakfast time. However that's the last we see of her. She is never mentioned again nor is she there after Jim comes home from school or at anytime after the trouble starts. It would be unusual for someone to sleep through all that went on; but no one ever says anything about "being quite or we might wake Grandma up." After that scene at breakfast, she is forgotten.
Other mistake: In one scene a station wagon pulls up with a 300 to 400 pound dead deer draped over the hood. Later, as the shot changes, one of the hunters can be seen in the background easily carrying the obviously fake deer.
Other mistake: While all the business signs in downtown Osaka are properly in Japanese, the local newspaper, The Osaka Times, is printed entirely in English.
Other mistake: When Tom Ewell's character trips over a roller skate for the second time, as he approaches the skate rolls into his path from outside of the frame. He was living alone. What could have possibly propelled the skate all of a sudden?
Other mistake: During Lady's first night home, there's a shot of the family's clock: the number seven is painted as a six.
Other mistake: When scientists Cal and Ruth exit the spacecraft in their high-winged light airplane, the aircraft's ID markings are reversed while in flight. All other scenes with this light plane's ID markings have the image correctly displayed.
Other mistake: Philip De Guard is the cartoon's layout artist, yet when we see his name in the opening credits, it is spelled "Phillip" instead of the usual "Philip."
