Continuity mistake: Doctor Leo sits at the desk and begins writing a letter to Alec Ritchfield. "My dear Alec", it starts. Fade to the finished letter, but you can easily tell that it's not the same letter, the handwriting being different - look at the little flourish below the M, not to mention the position of the text in relation with the Fog Island stamp. Continuity mistake: When Donald sees the "reward" poster with a picture of him on the telegraph pole, you can see that the last two zeros of the reward have two lines under them, but when Donald starts tearing off the posters, there is now only one line.
Continuity mistake: Throughout the cartoon, watch the handkerchief in the store manager's top pocket of his jacket. In some shots it is in the pocket; others it isn't.
Continuity mistake: After the scene with Junior that busted him as the night kitchen raider, Dick is in his office. Pat Patton tells him about his findings going through the victim's belongings. He leans forward with his left arm, and Dick at the same time pulls his own arm back away from the desk. Next cut and Dick has both hands on the desk and Pat just his right arm on it. (00:12:35)
Continuity mistake: When Screwy squashes the truant officer's nose with a mallet, the nose jumps off in pain and then hides under the officer's face. At this point, the truant officer is wearing a hat on his head, but in the next shot the hat has disappeared.
Character mistake: When we see what is happening inside the saloon, there is a sign which reads "Noisy - Is'nt It?" It should read "Isn't."
Continuity mistake: When Elmer Fudd is on the telephone to the operator, you can see that he is at the far end of the lounge and there is a pattern on the wall, but when Bugs Bunny sneaks in behind the radio, Elmer is now positioned near the corner of the room and there's no pattern. 2 lamps also appear by the archway.
Continuity mistake: When Woody reacts to the "Blackout Borscht" that the taxidermist has given him, the bowl is on the counter, but in the shot of Woody's head and neck rising into the air, the bowl has suddenly disappeared.
Character mistake: Laurel & Hardy's testimony sent Muldoon to prison. He was freed when the real criminal confessed. Muldoon vowed revenge. Five years later at a bullfight, Laurel is posing as a Spanish bullfighter, Don Sebastian. Muldoon recognizes him and points to him and mistakenly shouts, "That's Hardy - -and the other one is Laurel."
