Continuity mistake: After Mortimer picks up Elaine and literally throws her out the front door, he locks it to make sure she doesn't just open the door and walk in again. When Aunt Abby goes to open the door for Mr. Gibbs less than a minute later, she doesn't have to unlock it.
Continuity mistake: In the living room, during the party, Margaret O'Brien does a dance with a straw hat and cane with Judy Garland. In one shot Margaret has on blue slippers and in another shot she has on pink slippers.
Continuity mistake: When Velvet and her mother are sitting and talking in the attic, her mother pours some gold coins into Velvet's lap. Velvet is sitting back on her feet, but a few seconds later, she raises up on her knees to hug her mother. The coins should go spilling everywhere, but we never see or hear them.
Continuity mistake: When McMurray enters his office at the start of the film, he places his hand on the table and sits down. The position of the hand is different between shots.
Continuity mistake: When the maid is out on the street calling a cab, the policeman shows up. The distance between them changes from close to farther away, between shots.
Continuity mistake: When the lodger is looking down the stairs at Daisy (who has just been handcuffed as a joke), his body faces the railing in one shot, the wall in the next, then the railing again.
Continuity mistake: The first time Dave takes the liquor bottle out of his shirt, he unscrews the cap before taking a swallow. The second time, on the stage, he pulls a cork out with his teeth.
Continuity mistake: Ackermann is asked to write names and biodata of important German writers on the blackboard when Pfeiffer enters the classroom late because of a fake toothache. When the camera is back on Ackermann he has completed the task in a fraction of the time he would have actually needed. (01:08:55)
Continuity mistake: At the end of the film, Lieutenant Perry orders two men to take the Vickers .303 machine gun into the Frenchmans cafe. It cuts to a close up of the gun, which shows it's a WW2 era Vickers with a smooth water jacket. The men run and pick it up, and carry it into the cafe. When the scene cuts to inside the cafe, the Vickers has suddenly changed to a WW1 era Vickers with a fluted water jacket, which it stays as for the rest of the film.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where we see school children leaving the building and are going home we see two children go over to the see saw to ride on it. Buffalo Bill is talking to a little girl just outside the doorway and when it cuts in for a closer shot of the girl, you can see in the background there are now four children on the see saw; then again when the little girl starts walking home its back to the original two children who were on the see saw earlier on.
Continuity mistake: When Sammy Squirrel meets Screwy Squirrel, you can see that Sammy is holding a basket in her left hand, but in the next shot the basket has disappeared.
Continuity mistake: When Daffy says to Porky, "Did you lose something, Fat Stuff?" the number of trees in the background decreases between shots.
Continuity mistake: When Spike is captured by the dog catcher at the end of the cartoon, you can see that there is a padlock on the door of the van, but when Jerry is chasing the van in the next shot, the padlock has disappeared.
Continuity mistake: When Daffy kisses Hatta Mari, there is lipstick on the end of his beak when he says "Something new has been added!", but in the next shot the lipstick has disappeared.
Continuity mistake: The book Sniffles is reading is coloured green in long shots, yet in close ups it is yellow.
Continuity mistake: When Bugs Bunny is drawing a picture of Sylvester, you can see that the drawing board is on Bugs' knees, but when we see him drawing a picture of his hand in the next shot, the board is now between his legs.
Continuity mistake: When Jerry is at the letter box when Tom is reading the telegram, you can see there is nothing by Jerry's feet. But when we see him a little later on, the envelope in which the telegram was sent in appears from nowhere.
Continuity mistake: When we see Porky and Daffy sleeping at the start of the cartoon, you can see that the light above Porky's bed has nothing on it, but when Porky goes to bed later on, the light now has a cord attached to it.
Continuity mistake: When Elmer Fudd shoots Bugs Bunny's dress after discovering he was one of the can-can dancers, there are pieces of Bugs' dress on the floor. But when Bugs runs back after Elmer points his gun at him, the pieces have disappeared.
Continuity mistake: When Elmer Fudd picks up the newspaper beside him, you can see that he is holding the paper with his hands whilst looking at the front page, but when we see the newspaper in the next shot, his hands are nowhere to be seen.
