Trivia: It's noticeable that the series drops in quality in season 3. This is because ABC hired the consulting firm "Q5" to rework their lineup in an attempt to boost ratings. Unfortunately, Q5 seemed to misunderstand the series, and forced the creative team to unnecessarily change it. Their changes included making Janine a blander character and relegating Winston to just being "the driver." The crew hated the changes, which they felt were often racist and sexist. Some even left out of protest.
Trivia: The song playing on the radio when Rosebud breaks in, 'I'd Take a Bite of the Moon For You,' references the episodes 'Alone Together' and 'Tick Vs. Chairface Chippendale.' The song playing when El Seed breaks into the botanical gardens is a jazzy version of the show's theme song.
The Big Question / The Big Answer - S3-E11
Trivia: At one point in this episode, Hefer says "please put me down Mr. Crabs." Most of the crew from this show went on to make SpongeBob SquarePants a few years after Rocko ended, which has a character named Mr. Crabs.
Trivia: When a Stormtrooper falls down into the mining pit after being shot by Ezra Bridger's energy slingshot, he yells the Wilhelm scream.
Trivia: Mike Judge once received an angry phone message from a fast-talking man. The man seemed to be complaining about "Beavis and Butthead", although he mentioned a "Porky's butthole". His voice later inspired the voice for Boomhauer on "King of the Hill".
Trivia: This series was intended to serve as a "sequel" to the 1995 feature-film, though it was later disregarded by the theatrical sequel "Mortal Kombat: Annihilation."
Batman VS Iron Man (DC VS Marvel) - S4-E10
Trivia: The car that Batman slides over when avoiding Iron Man's blasts is the same car from the mini game in Street Fighter II, where players would beat up the car and tear it apart as fast as possible for more points. (00:04:43)
Trivia: Dio in this episode drinks Cronenberg Whisky, just like in the manga. The fictional brand is most likely a homage to the director David Cronenberg, especially given the bit of 'body horror' appearing in this arc.
Trivia: The Doctor comes to Nevada in search of "A bowl of chili. The sort you only ever got in an American diner before 1962." During the 1960s, Chasen's Restaurant in Hollywood made a chili that became highly sought-after by celebrities (Elizabeth Taylor had some flown to Rome when she was making "Cleopatra."). Diners started changing their chili recipes in attempts to duplicate Chasen's secret recipe. This is why The Doctor had to go back to the 1950s in search of a bowl of old-fashioned American chili. Through the Rabbit Hole - S2-E1
Trivia: The boy's comment, "Everybody is kung fu fighting" at the ruined school dance, refers to Carl Douglas' song of the same name from 1974, two years before this episode takes place, following the fledging martial arts craze in America. This song has recently (in a slight variation) resurfaced in Kung Fu Panda.
What Story Does Blue Want to Play? - S1-E16
Trivia: At the end when Steve sings the So Long song, he's impersonating Elvis Presley.
The Scorn of the Star Sapphire! - S3-E5
Trivia: After freeing Miss Taylor from the grip of Star Sapphire, Green Lantern encases her in a green energy box and flies her away. The box is shaped almost exactly like a shuttle craft from Star Trek. (00:15:50)
