Factual error: When Sam speaks with his daughter on the long range phone there is virtually no delay between some questions and answers. It takes over two seconds for radio waves just to travel from the Moon to the Earth and back in a straight line. The interval between question and answer physically can't be shorter than that and realistically should be around 3 seconds or even more, accounting for additional signal relays and time needed for a person to form a statement. Same for the communication between Gerty and the Lunar employees when Sam 2 got out of his infirmary bed.

Factual error: We learn that the previous sheriff, Charlie Wade, took revenge on anyone who smuggled illegal immigrants across the border in the late 1950s - we are shown the smuggling, as Eladio Cruz hides a group of Mexican men in a watermelon truck to take them across the border. However, in the 1950s, the border was not fortified the way it is now - the smuggling shown would simply not have been necessary.

Factual error: In the beginning, Leonard looks at a copy of John G/Teddy's driver's license. The expiration date is listed as 2-29-01, but of course, 2001 was not a leap year, so there would've only been 28 days in the month. (00:12:45)

Factual error: Bobby extracts two teeth to get the combination to the next room. When he looks at the teeth, the numbers are on the tooth root. To do this would be impossible without removing the teeth first. (01:02:05)

Factual error: Raymond is equipped with what is described as a high-power Soviet sniper rifle. However, the rifle he uses is actually a Japanese carbine.

Factual error: When Mouth flattens the tires on Brand's bike, all he does to let the air out is take the valve caps off. There's actually a valve in the valve stem that needs to be depressed to let the air out. The cap is just there to keep dirt out of the valve, simply taking it off wouldn't let the air out.

Factual error: The bird hovering near Manech's lighthouse is supposed to be an Albatross, but it's a Gannet.

Factual error: The hairy girls claim they are in a giant Redwood named Earthchild. The only Redwood trees in Oregon are in the far South West corner very near the coast and mostly over the border of California. D. B. Cooper was supposed to have landed North of Portland. (00:57:40)

Factual error: When Amy tries to escape from Mort in her car, there is a shot showing her feet trying to hit the right pedals to get the car moving. Her car is a SAAB 9-3, but the shot from the footwell of the car is not a SAAB.

Factual error: The vehicles in the movie have front and back license plates. The state of Florida does not have front plates, only back.

Factual error: When we see the Spanish newspaper reporting the death of Kane, the title says "el Sr. Kane se Murio". No self-respecting newspaper would omit the accent on "muriĆ³". Also, Kane was supposedly a worldwide household word, so he would never deserve "el Sr.". Finally, the colloquial "se" is out of place in a printed title such as this. The title should simply be "MuriĆ³ Kane".

Factual error: When Sally is leaving to rescue Gilly from her boyfriend she asks the Aunts to look after her children. The Aunts then say that they will take the children with them to the solstice celebration. A few days later when the cop is interviewing Sally he gives the date as March 8th. There are two solstices each year, one in December and one in June. Since this film takes place in early March, the Aunts could not have been going to a solstice celebration.

Factual error: Tintin says they only have one bullet left. That bullet is in the magazine, and since it is a semi automatic, there should also be one in the chamber, meaning they would have two bullets. Even if they only had that paticular bullet, he doesn't cock the gun, meaning the chamber would be empty and therefore wouldn't fire.
Factual error: In the beginning scene in the locker room, Taylor brings up his Glock and calls it the "Glock 19", however a shot shows the pistol's trademarks, displaying it as a Glock 22.

Factual error: In the scene where the escaped prisoner climbs onto the bridge, he's still in Mississippi. The road sign reads "Arkansas 49."

Factual error: In the beginning of the movie, the killer calls Cotton on his cell phone. When the killer hangs up on him, you hear a dial tone. When someone cuts you off on a cell phone, you don't get a dial tone. (00:02:40)

Factual error: At the end of the film where the blinded Michael is swinging his scalpel aimlessly, it makes loud "swooshing" sounds. This is pure fantasy. I have personally mimicked what Michael did using similar small scalpels and even larger knives without almost no sound when swinging them.

Factual error: Near the end of the film, after Ditch and Krista use the reserve parachute, they fall in a windfarm. The windmills are spinning fairly slowly. After the fight Ditch pulls Pinkwater's parachute out. The wind pulls Pinkwater back towards the fan. Before he gets chopped up there is a shot of the fan blades spinning very fast and powerfully. A light breeze would not cause these blades to spin in this fashion. A hurricane would be needed for those blades to chop up a human.

Factual error: Reference the rural scenes. In the 40s, barley fields did not exhibit large perpendicular tracks made by crop sprayers.

Factual error: The main character of the movies buys a pistol that is a 1911 Colt, which fires the .45 round. However, when the police show up at the warehouse, and see the shell casings, they mention as belonging to a .38.
