Continuity mistake: In a scene after Teddy shows up at Helen's house, but before Helen arrives, Louise uses a picture of Helen to show that Helen has the look of a killer. In the close-ups, when the family is covering various parts of the picture, Helen has a closed mouth smile, but in subsequent shots Helen has an open-mouthed smile.

Continuity mistake: When Mr. Fishoedor enters the restaurant, Bob is cleaning a coffee pot with a rag. In the next frame, the coffee pot vanishes from Bob's hand. Later, when the perspective is changed again, the coffee pot appears on top of a blue platform. (00:01:35)
Other mistake: When the Belcher family gathers water balloons at the beginning of fight, as Mr. Fischoeder says the line, "Every honky for himself..." a green water balloon magically rises into Gene's hand.
