Continuity mistake: In the scene where Stiles runs his jeep into the Kanima, he has no busted lip or bloody cheek, but moments later when the camera switches back to him, his injuries are once again visible. (00:30:10)

Factual error: Lydia tells Stiles that as a child she was so obsessed with the book "The Little Mermaid" and insisted on being called Ariel for months. The thing is that the character wasn't named in the book, she was only given the name Ariel in the Disney film.
Factual error: The operator that receives the 911 call only sends the police, when in actuality if a caller is silent during their call, the operator has to send out all emergency services.
Other mistake: When we see young Peter Hale convince young Derek to turn Paige with Ennis' help, it is said that Derek is 15 when he killed Paige. And according to Wikipedia Derek was 16 and in school during the Hale house fire. Although when Derek is 15 we see Peter Hale played by a younger actor but during the Hale house fire Peter is played by Ian Bohen. How did Peter change so much in a year? Ian looks much older than the actor who plays 15 year old Derek than the actor who plays young Peter does.
Plot hole: We find out the coyote that has been wandering around the Tate house is actually his long lost daughter, Malia, that turned lost control during a full moon eight years prior and has been living as a coyote ever since. When Scott forces her to turn back into human for she is incapable of shifting back into coyote form. However in the season 3 mid-series finale we find out that all shapeshifters loose all their powers and becomes human during a lunar eclipse. Shouldn't Malia have turned back into human form that night?
Continuity mistake: When Scott loses his asthma inhaler, we see it fly out of his hand and land on the ground and it is a light khaki colour. Later on, when Scott and Stiles go back to the woods in the day to look for the inhaler, they come across Derek and when Derek throws Scott his inhaler, it is a white colour.
