Continuity mistake: The mermaid drops her blanket on the boat's dock before jumping into the water, but is floating on the water when Lindemann dives in after her.
Continuity mistake: When Lindemann emerges from the boat's hold, his sailor friends are on the dock a couple of feet from each other. The next shot and the sailors are much closer to each other.
Revealing mistake: The seam of the mermaid's fin suit is visible as she twists and turns towards the boat's gunwhale.
