Give 'Em Enough Rope - S1-E2

Revealing mistake: Reid's rear view mirror, missing in all the medium shots (processed in-studio with an obvious rear-screen projection), mysteriously reappears in full shot when his Chrysler pulls into the car shop. (00:14:00)

Deadline for Death - S1-E12

Revealing mistake: The Black Beauty, Hornet's car, releases a smoke screen to stop the bad guys' plane from taking off. But you can see in several shots that the stunt car actually releasing the smoke is an entirely different make, model and color. (00:21:30)

Crime Wave - S1-E4

Continuity mistake: Kato activates the clamps that prepare Reid's car for the flip-over that will reveal the Green Hornet's "Black Beauty." We see the clamps hook themselves to the car in close-up. But in the next, wider shot of the car turning over, the clamps have disappeared. (00:05:00)

Narrator: Another challenge for the Green Hornet, his aide Kato, and their rolling arsenal, the Black Beauty. On Police records a wanted criminal, Green Hornet is really Britt Reid, owner-publisher of the Daily Sentinel, his dual identity known only to his secretary and to the district attorney. And now, to protect the rights and lives of decent citizens, rides THE green hornet."

Trivia: Kato was Japanese when The Green Hornet premiered as a radio series in 1936. After the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, Kato suddenly became a Korean. In the 1960s, when future martial arts superstar Bruce Lee (who was Chinese) assumed the role for television, Kato was meant to regain his Japanese heritage. But his ethnicity was never mentioned on the show, and publicity simply referred to Kato as "Asian."
