The U.N.C.L.E. Samurai Affair - S1-E27
Revealing mistake: Mark's stunt double in the final fight scene has a very bad (and obvious) brown wig. Mark's hair, however, is blond. (00:44:00)
The Prisoner of Zalamar Affair - S1-E2
Revealing mistake: Mark finds the bomb planted under his Jeep and puts it under the bad guy's car instead. When it explodes, there's a huge cloud of smoke, but before the shot cuts, you can see that the car is completely undamaged. (00:10:30)
The Horns-of-the-Dilemma Affair - S1-E6
Revealing mistake: Due to the rather obvious insertion of car-crash stock footage, April's white 1964 Ford Falcon turns into a gray 1950s sedan as it goes over the cliff. (00:15:45)
The Mother Muffin Affair - S1-E3
Revealing mistake: The climactic chase occurs in an amusement park, supposedly in Brighton, England. But several things give away the real filming location, among them an ad for 15c (not 15p) snow cones, two very American-style phone booths, and best of all, a pole proudly sporting both a U.S. flag and a California state flag, visible in the background behind the phone booths. (00:44:15)
Revealing mistake: Mark's stunt man is a little too obvious in the final fight scene. Mark suddenly gains 20 pounds and a whole new set of muscles that he didn't have before. (00:44:35)
Revealing mistake: The motorcycle chase is supposed to take place late at night. But in several shots, a cloud-strewn blue daytime sky can be seen, and long shadows on the streets indicate that the scene was actually shot either in the early morning or the late afternoon. (00:24:45)
The Lethal Eagle Affair - S1-E11
Revealing mistake: Mark hides inside the grand piano - improbable (there's not enough room) unless the piano is a mock-up without any real harp or strings. And in fact, when he jumps out, you can see that there's nothing inside. Somehow, though, the piano still makes sounds when Dieter touches the keys. (00:27:00)
The Moulin Ruse Affair - S1-E17
Revealing mistake: Waverly opens a file full of papers with a small photo of April's contact clipped inside. When we see a close-up of the photo, we can also see that the page under it is part of a script treatment. Odd thing for a spy agency to keep on file. (00:18:40)
The Lethal Eagle Affair - S1-E11
Revealing mistake: While Madame Gita is testing the death ray device, she orders Franz to go check the power. He trots off to obey, and in the process crosses, miraculously unscathed, directly in front of the "deadly" light beam. (00:42:15)
The Phi Beta Killer Affair - S1-E25
Revealing mistake: Mark's stunt double during the fight on the mansion's porch is a very close match for him - except for the fact that he's about 6 inches taller. This causes "Mark's" height in relation to the man he's fighting to fluctuate noticeably (taller than, shorter than, taller than again) between shots. (00:37:15)
The Furnace Flats Affair - S1-E22
Revealing mistake: Stock footage spliced in at different points during the desert chase scene increases the size of the posse threefold, and changes the terrain completely from one shot to the next. (00:15:00)
The Moulin Ruse Affair - S1-E17
Revealing mistake: When April peeks over the rooftop, it's completely dark outside. Every time we see the inserted stock footage of the traffic down below, however, it's a filtered daytime shot. Not one of the cars has its headlights on. (00:11:40)
