The Cure - S1-E9

Factual error: The commercial airplane that Rogue is piggy-backing to Muir Island has no overhead storage bins. Just a shelf running the length of the cabin with luggage stacked on top, which is not something that the FAA or any other national aviation authority would permit. (00:09:20)

Other mistake: When Rogue is hovering above Muir Island, she pulls out a book to confirm she's in the right place, and the picture of Muir Island in her book shows it to have three smaller islands on its south side. When she lowers the book to look at the actual island, only the large island shown on the southwest side in the book is there. She's only hovering a few hundred feet above the island, so even though the other two islands were small, they should still be visible. (00:09:48)

The Cure - S1-E9

Continuity mistake: After Rogue throws Avalanche through the wall in the pub, he is shown falling over the cliff and towards the ocean, along with some debris from the wall. When he lands in the ocean, none of the debris falls into the ocean. (00:11:05)

Other mistake: When Rogue presses the button on the intercom to talk to Dr. Adler, you can see that she does not actually touch the button, but rather her finger is above it. (00:11:30)

Continuity mistake: When Rogue is telling Mystique disguised as Dr. Adler that she heard he can reverse mutations, Adler's arms are at his sides. When the shot changes, his arms are behind his back. (00:11:45)

Other mistake: When Avalanche places the sack over Adler, the sack is covered in holes, but no part of Adler's body or clothing is visible through the holes. The holes are the same color as the rest of the sack. (00:14:53)

The Cure - S1-E9

Other mistake: When Rogue begins flying towards Cable after disarming him, she is only about 30 feet away from him. As she is flying towards him, he takes the time to pull a plasma grenade from his belt, pull out the pin with his mouth, and then throw it at her. In the time it took him to do all of that and given the speed at which Rogue was flying towards him, she should reach him well before he could throw the grenade at her. (00:18:05)

The Cure - S1-E9

Plot hole: Towards the end of this episode, Jean Grey nearly falls to her death when a concussion blast from Cable's gun knocks her off a cliff, only for her to be saved at the last moment by Rogue. Apparently Jean Grey and the writers for the episode forgot that her telekinetic powers give her limited flight ability as well as the ability to slow falls, both of which she has demonstrated in other episodes.

Come the Apocalypse - S1-E10

Continuity mistake: When Rogue, Cyclops, Jean Grey and Xavier are first shown in the bar, the glasses in front of Rogue and Cyclops contain green liquid. When Cyclops is consoling Rogue, the liquid is now blue. When the shot changes, the liquid in the glass in front of Rogue is now green again. (00:03:49 - 00:04:18)

Come the Apocalypse - S1-E10

Other mistake: When the Lady Gardener touches the flower on her table, it instantly dies, which elicits a shocked reaction from her. This show establishes that mutant powers begin to manifest during puberty, and this character is middle-aged. A character that has been living with their powers for that long shouldn't be shocked at what her powers do. (00:03:56)

Show generally

Question: Does anyone know why Gambit was featured less and less in episodes as the show went on? He was one of the most popular characters in not just X-Men, but all of Marvel Comics around the time this series first aired, so unless it had something to do with his voice actor's contract, it seems odd they wouldn't have utilized him more.

Phaneron

Answer: Chris Potter, the original Gambit voice actor, did indeed quit the role in the 4th season. His last episode was The Phalanx Covenant Part 1 so it seems reasonable that Fox would limit the use of the character even though it was recast. It doesn't appear that Potter left the role due to animosity, he stated in an interview that he wished to play Gambit in the first live action X-Men film.
