Plot hole: At the end of the episode, KITT has to travel about 45 miles in under 8 minutes. That means KITT would have to travel a little under 360 mph for the entire time. KITT couldn't travel that fast until season 4 when he got Super Pursuit Mode, and we never see the speedometer read that high even once.
A Knight in Shining Armor - S2-E13
Revealing mistake: When Michael fights the bad guy at the end of the episode, it's easy to tell that they're both stunt doubles.
Blind Spot - S2-E5
Continuity mistake: After the KITT and Porsche chase scene, the police officer on the motorcycle comes to a stop in the dead-center of an intersection. But in the next shot when he looks around, he is barely inching into the intersection.
Continuity mistake: When Michael finds the stolen moving equipment, he parks KITT and then starts to climb down an embankment. The close-up shot of KITT's scanner reveals a tree in the hood's reflection. But when we saw KITT stop, there wasn't a single tree around.
Revealing mistake: The shot of KITT releasing his oil slick at the end of the episode is backwards: "KNIGHT" appears as though it's in a mirror.
Character mistake: When K.I.T.T. is talking about rubies he refers to them as a crystalline form of carbon. Ruby is actually crystalline aluminium oxide.
Continuity mistake: When Gina locks the door after Michael leaves, the close up of the lock is different than the one on the door. On the door, the top of the faceplate is right next to the deadbolt knob, but in the close-up there's a lot more space that you can't even see the top of the faceplate.
Continuity mistake: When Michael is getting Dr. Bergstrom out of Goliath, he steps onto K.I.T.T.'s hood and Bergstrom is to his right, in the next shot Bergstrom is to his left.
Continuity mistake: When KITT is pushed over the mountain by the earthmover, you can see the front bumper is actually a stock Trans-Am bumper instead of KITT's normal one.
Knightmares - S2-E11
Revealing mistake: When Michael and KITT are going to jump at the dam in order to save Cara from drowning in the water container just before they jump you can see a stunt ramp below KITT.
Mouth of the Snake [a.k.a. All That Glitters] (1) - S2-E21
Other mistake: At about 7 minutes into the show, you see a US border sign in English and Spanish lying on the ground. The English version says "500 yards ahead." The Spanish version says "150 metros" which is roughly 500 feet, not 500 yards. It is also not clear why a sign fairly far on the Mexican side would have English text at all, especially with wording that is more typical of US rather than Mexican signs. (00:06:49)
A Knight in Shining Armor - S2-E13
Visible crew/equipment: As Michael walks over to KITT and the loud mouth challenges him to a race, a light set up is reflected on the car.
A Knight in Shining Armor - S2-E13
Other mistake: After stopping Stone, Michael calls for KITT. When the car starts up, it's in gear, and the selector goes to P (park). After pinpointing the hidden entrance, the picture is of soft sand hills covering it. When KITT goes to enter, it's a defined entrance with a thin layer of stacked rocks in it.
Visible crew/equipment: When Michael is on the beach after finding the body, the camera is on K.I.T.T. In the rear wheel, you can see the reflection off all the crew standing. This can also be seen in the next scene in the front wheel along with the reflection of the lights. (00:03:40)
Continuity mistake: When Michael and Dr. Bergstrom get out of Goliath, the back door is still open. We see both get into K.I.T.T. at the same time since Bergstrom needs Michael's help walking on the hood. But once they're both in the car, the back door is closed and locked without Michael having a chance to. And if the door can close automatically or remotely, then it should have closed with Michael inside.
Continuity mistake: After the photoshoot Michael and Lisa are walking. Lisa's dress is on her shoulder, next shot it's off her shoulder and the shot after that it reappears back on her shoulder.
Mouth of the Snake [a.k.a. All That Glitters] (1) - S2-E21
Factual error: The scenes outside the motel in Calexico show a large mountain range in the background. Calexico is actually located at or slightly below sea level. The only mountain in the vicinity is Signal Mountain, which is an individual mountain, not a range. (00:24:30)
Continuity mistake: Right after Michael escapes from his cell, he finds KITT in the garage. Michael has KITT pop his hood to work on him, he asks KITT how he feels, the next shot shows KITT's scanner with the hood down, then it goes back to the shot of Michael and the hood is open again.
Continuity mistake: When Michael steps out of the car to talk with the gypsies his sunglasses appear and disappear randomly.
Chosen answer: Before "product placement" became common, name-brand products were rarely, if ever seen in TV shows, mostly due to avoid advertising conflicts with program sponsors. The Pepsi logo may have been taped out to prevent any commercial infringements.

Are you kidding? Product placement was so rampant in the 50s that sometimes you'd wonder if you were watching a TV show or a paid ad.
Brian Katcher
Knight Rider wasn't produced in the 1950s. TV shows of that era had advertising more similar to the old radio shows from the 30s and 40s. The early 50s series often had a sole sponsor, so their product (and related items) was likely seen in a program. An announcer also informed the audience at the beginning that, "This program is brought to you by (insert brand name). " From the 60s on, brand-name products weren't generally seen in TV programs. Networks sold air time to multiple advertisers, and their ads were shown during the long commercial breaks. So no, I'm not kidding.
