Knight Rider [Pilot; a.k.a. Knight of the Phoenix] (1) - S1-E1
Revealing mistake: When KITT takes part in the race and goes up on two wheels, you can see that the stunt driver is behind the wheel and that a dummy is strapped into the passenger's seat.
Knight Rider [Pilot; a.k.a. Knight of the Phoenix] (1) - S1-E1
Revealing mistake: There is a scene where KITT drives over to Michael, and you can see the drivers seat is really a guy dressed up in a light brown suit to look like a car seat. You can see for a visor that its a glass panel made to look like a hollow head rest, but you plainly see the guy take away his hand off the steering wheel.
Knight Rider [Pilot; a.k.a. Knight of the Phoenix] (2) - S1-E2
Revealing mistake: During the Comtron Demolition Derby after Buddy sprays oil, Michael asks him not to push another button. Buddy decides to push the next button for Smoke Screen. The license plate is mirrored THGINK (instead of KNIGHT) before the smoke blows.
Knight Rider [Pilot; a.k.a. Knight of the Phoenix] (1) - S1-E1

Knight Rider [Pilot; a.k.a. Knight of the Phoenix] (2) - S1-E2
Revealing mistake: After KITT has been taken by the crooks, KITT auto cruises. Watch the spin circle showoff in slow motion. KITT is spraying gasoline out of his side tank all over the road as he's spinning circles.
Revealing mistake: When KITT is in the valet carpark, he pushes the cars in front of him forwards. It is very obvious they have attached rubber protectors to the bumpers to prevent damage. Also, when KITT is driving by himself 10 seconds later, you can see the stunt man's hands driving the car.
A Nice, Indecent Little Town - S1-E17
Revealing mistake: In the scene where Michael chases the counter fitter and KITT supposedly jumps over some cars with his turbo boost, you can see a jumping ramp which wasn't there before, painted in the colour of the street behind it. (00:25:25)
Revealing mistake: As KITT is rolling down the hill with the unconscious Michael inside, the shots of KITT from the outside show that the bonnet and roof have large and obvious gaps between them and the rest of the bodywork (presumably a stunt vehicle). When KITT fires it's turbo boost, the bodywork is its normal flush self again.
Give Me Liberty... or Give Me Death - S1-E15
Revealing mistake: When the van overturns at the end of the episode, you can easily see the padded roll bars used to protect the actors inside. These bars don't appear anywhere else in the episode.
Just My Bill - S1-E6
Revealing mistake: At the parking lot when the cop calls in a tow truck for the first time, you can spot a man inside the car wearing a white shirt hiding inside. He moves his head trying to avoid the camera angle but fails.
Knight Rider [Pilot; a.k.a. Knight of the Phoenix] (1) - S1-E1
Revealing mistake: When the hoods are trying to take KITT one prepares to toss a brick at the window. If you slow it down, you can see a reflection of the crew member really close to the window. When the "brick" hits the window, you hear breaking glass, but no glass breaks. Also, the brick hits the other hood on the forehead, yet causes no injury, and no bleeding.
Revealing mistake: Watch the scene where Michael fights two guys for a purse. Michael calls KITT for help. When KITT jumps off a cliff, an old vehicle is the one that jumps off the cliff instead.
Knight Rider [Pilot; a.k.a. Knight of the Phoenix] (2) - S1-E2
Revealing mistake: When the 2 crooks take KITT, when Michael's on the phone, KITT takes over and the driver keeps saying he's not doing anything and isn't touching the wheel. When KITT is doing donuts, you see the driver's hands on the wheel, and he's the one doing the driving.
Good Day at White Rock - S1-E4
Revealing mistake: After we first see the pack of bikers riding, it cuts to two guys on bikes. They're being towed on a platform of some sort because the never turn their handlebars or front wheel but still turn with the curves in the road.
Revealing mistake: In the warehouse, after Michael calls him, when KITT busts through the door, the plastic sheeting used inside the driver's window to hide the stunt driver is noticeable.
Slammin' Sammy's Stunt Show Spectacular - S1-E5
Revealing mistake: As KITT goes into ski Mode to show Sammy what he can do, the stunt driver is obvious, and there's a bar mounted on the door just back from the driver's mirror for the driver to hold on to. Also, the regular steering wheel is easily spotted through the windshield.
Knight Rider [Pilot; a.k.a. Knight of the Phoenix] (1) - S1-E1
Revealing mistake: As KITT goes up on two wheels to go between two cars in the Demolition Derby, it's the stunt driver.
Nobody Does It Better - S1-E21
Revealing mistake: When you see KITT driving after Michael is released from prison, you can see that it is a stunt driver and a normal steering wheel. The driver also isn't talking yet we hear Michael's voice. (00:15:50)
White Bird - S1-E19
Revealing mistake: When Michael crashes through the side of the plane, you can see a pulley attached to the front wheel of the plane, which then is released. (00:40:15 - 00:40:50)
Revealing mistake: When K.I.T.T is called by Michael to get between them at the drive by shooting, you can see on the right side of K.I.T.T all the special effect plugs that replicate gun fire hitting the car. (00:09:20)
Answer: I would say that unless there's visual evidence it was another K.I.T.T. car, as in you could see the bar scanner or cut steering wheel, people on here would correct the mistake by saying more than one 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am was sold and there's no reason it's meant to be a random car.
