Continuity mistake: The boys already had dynamite arrows made up. When they go to stop Marlowe's car, Luke says "Twenty-five percent charge ought to do it." They weren't carrying any extra dynamite, and weren't carrying the bags that held the bows where they would have had the extra charges.
Factual error: While the boys are chasing Marlowe in town after he takes Price's gun, he fires at them. He fires eight shots out of a six shooter without reloading. Also, Luke puts an arrow into the car to stop Marlowe, and steam comes out. But the arrow is too far back to have hit the radiator, and it only went in about an inch, far too high to have even touched the radiator.
Continuity mistake: The road that the Dukes are travelling on was clear about two minutes before, and the thugs were right behind them. After turning around to go the right way, they find the area they just came through blocked by a semi. No way the truck could have been set there that fast.
Continuity mistake: When the thug's car lands, you see it hit the ground in the distance shot. Then in the close up from the car mounted camera, you see it hit again.
Visible crew/equipment: As the Marlowe's men swerve to miss the ambulance, it goes airborne. As it does, you can see the camera mounted on the right side of the car.
Revealing mistake: When the boys are stopping to check the ambulance, you can see the smoke device burning used to simulate the engine running badly.
Continuity mistake: During the chase with the blue car, Price's hat goes on and off several times.
Continuity mistake: While running from the blue car, the area behind the Sheriff's car is an open area with a tan truck behind them. After the cut to watch the cars turn, the background area changes to the town, and the tan truck is gone. Also, Springville has all dirt roads, but during the chase, they run off the dirt and you can see the roads and buildings of Hazzard.
Audio problem: After Jessie and Cooter get into Limo One, Bo explains where Daisy is to meet them, but his mouth doesn't move, and the voice covers the sounds of everything else.
Continuity mistake: After the boys jump the bad guys in the chop shop, they pull the guys up, and Luke draws his bow on them. When the camera angle changes, Luke is just drawing his bow again, saying "Uh, uh, uh, uh", warning them to stop.
Revealing mistake: When spying on the hidden chop shop, the boys are using Cooter as a stepladder, with their feet on his shoulders. After he complains about their boots, they jump down after Daisy warns them. If you look at Cooter's shoulders, you can see that they're padded for the stunt.
Continuity mistake: As "Sweet Talk" has Jessie and Daisy in the house at gun point, he has the shotgun at waist level. As they hear "Dixie" (the General's horn) the camera cuts in close to "Sweet Talk." He now has the gun at chest level. After he says 'Both of ya just sit still" it's at waist level.
Continuity mistake: At the end, when Luke goes to shoot a dynamite arrow into the ground at the car, there is no kind of explosive propellant on the ground. In the close up, there is suddenly a pool of flammable liquid.
Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, first the Sheriff's car, then the General land at a forty-five degree angle. You see the Sheriff's car looking like it has a definite bow downward in the middle. The General gets a compression dent over the front wheel well, but later it is smooth down the side.
Daisy's Song - S1-E2
Continuity mistake: When Daisy meets and leaves with Starr, and are being followed by the boys, Starr tries to kiss Daisy in a close up in his limo. From the outside, the windows are clear, but on the inside, the windows are opaque.
Daisy's Song - S1-E2
Revealing mistake: As the Sheriff's cars are nearing the area where the Mobile Madam is, they're driving fast. As the RV and Bo are nearing the gate of the property they're on, you can see the two Sheriff's cars sitting just to the left of frame, then just beginning to move to make the pursuit look good.
Revealing mistake: Three times during the final chase there are close ups of the boys in the General Lee. If you look, the car is stationary on a brown dirt road, and the car is being shaken to simulate driving.
Continuity mistake: After she first boots Rosco, Daisy is driving his car. The close up of her driving you see the right front corner of the truck Rosco commandeered to chase her behind her. Trouble was, that Rosco hadn't gotten the truck yet.
Revealing mistake: When there is a close up of the boys the first time they are driving through the junkyard, you can see through the passenger window that the car is being shaken to simulate driving.
Continuity mistake: When the Sheriff's car approaches the construction area, you see there is no ramp anywhere, and the road area isn't bumpy enough to account for the car flipping and rolling.
Answer: Various reasons, but mainly to drive the Dukes out of Hazzard County because the family have been foiling his schemes since his and Uncle Jesse's bootlegging days.
