Continuity mistake: Max tackles Hubble, who loses his grip on the gun as they drop to the ground, but the sound of the gun hitting the ground occurs slightly after the shot where it does so. Moreover, Hubble is still holding the gun tightly as Max tackles him, but it has somehow traveled several feet and completely stopped moving by the time they hit the ground less than a second later.
