Continuity mistake: When the band is marching through the streets, whilst Squidward is pressuring the flag twirlers to move faster, there are some fish drumming behind them. One is a blue fish wearing a yellow shirt seen standing on the left, and another is a brown fish wearing a red shirt seen standing on the right. When the flag twirlers behind to fly off the ground, those two fish have swapped places.

Continuity mistake: In Band Geeks on day four the lever besides the big gate changes positions between pointing upwards and downwards several times.

Revealing mistake: When Squidward asks who has played instruments before and Plankton responds, look at Plankton's triangle. The bottom disappears for a split-second.

Continuity mistake: "In Artist Unknown", when Spongebob creates the statue, the right arm of it is tucked behind it's back and the left arm is bent with the hand resting on the chin. When the art collector jumps onto the head to remove the nose Squidward placed on it, the arms are switched so that the left arm is behind and the right hand is up on the chin. Then, when the art collector carries the statue out, the arms are back in their original positions.

Continuity mistake: In "Sailor Mouth" when Spongebob starts cussing in the Krusty Krab, a sailor and a pirate make a comment, but when everyone leaves the Krusty Krab, the sailor and pirate are nowhere to be seen.

Plot hole: As Spongebob is trying to let the Jellyfish out of their enclosure after discovering what Mr Krabs is doing to them, Krabs says, "That door will only open if I say...open." Then he suddenly realises what he's said and the door opens. How come the door didn't open when in his sentence he first said open? The door didn't activate itself until he said open the second time.
Suggested correction: Two likely explanations: 1. He said it more the 2nd time. 2. There was a delay.

Continuity mistake: In "Just One Bite," when everyone says "The only people who don't like Krabby Patties have never tasted one," the kitchen doesn't have a back door. After Squidward says "I gotta have more," he looks in from the back door.

Continuity mistake: In "The Bully" SpongeBob accidentally runs into Flats' dad's car and there is only one seat. Later Flats is shown sitting in the car.

Continuity mistake: Just One Bite: After Squidward buries the Krabby Patty and tells SpongeBob that he hates it, when SpongeBob walks to the back door of the restaurant there's a window to the right of the door, but when Squidward makes plans to sneak a Krabby Patty that window has vanished.

Continuity mistake: The Bully: When Mrs. Puff enters the classroom and apologizes for being late, the door knob is at the left side of the door, but in following shots it's at the right side of the door.

Audio problem: In "Just One Bite", Squidward is running, then tiptoeing by Spongebob's house. The sound of his running is fine, but the sound of tiptoeing is faster and not in sync with with movement.

Continuity mistake: In the episode "The Bully," when Flats punches Spongebob, Spongebob states to Gary that he's made out of some spongy material, that it absorbs his blows and it doesn't hurt him at all. But in later episodes, when Spongebob gets knocked out that never happens anymore.

Continuity mistake: In "Sandy, Spongebob, and the Worm," the worm is about twice the height of Sandy and Spongebob. Near the end of the episode, the Worm charges off of the cliff and when he reaches the bottom, and smashes the town, the buildings are tiny compared to him and the sea creatures are microscopic.

Continuity mistake: In Spongebob, Sandy and the Worm, when Sandy ties the worm's tongue in a knot and they run from the worm, the worm opens it's mouth but you don't see the tongue tied in a knot.

Continuity mistake: When Spongebob shows Sandy the paper clip and a piece of string the string is very small. Yet later after Sandy says, "no silly, how about s for saving our skins", the string is a lot longer.
